nice pictures. However, I wouldnt use that zone to do the pics in ;)

Its the most linear zone in the game. You HAVE to follow the path and cannot stray far off.  This canyon (while the quests were nice, no doubt) was the worse for me in terms of a Massively Multiplayer perspective.

It reminded me exactly like the Guild Wars where you had to follow the path around with the Prince King.

    it's a VALLEY.

Besides, there are paths all around and through those mountains. You don't HAVE to use the paths, but have fun falling to your death.

Maybe you would enjoy playing in the desert more...the wide open spaces might make you feel less confined. Maybe the whole game should have been set in wide flat plains and desert so people wouldn't have the realistic limitations of TERRAIN to nit-pick about.

Ahhh...you smell that?  Thats the fresh scent of rustleberry's in the soft wind blown grassy fields, blanketed in warmth from the slowly passing sun, amazed at its own wonders...This is Conall's Valley.

Errrr um , oh a game?  Its just a game, sorry its just it looks so real, I swear I was there.

    Looks good!

She took these pictures not to start another "its so instanced" thread.  She took them to show how beautiful the game looks.  Is it really so hard for some people to accept that there ARE good things in life?  Sheesh.

I used Conall's Valley because it's very pretty. Except for the front gate with all the dead people lol

Misty Mountains.... trees fit the game.. bello , Lake Evendim tree fit the surroundings

I couldnt get immersed with AoC , the trees are just constantly stabbing me in my eye...AoC sky map is like looking at a nothing and then you see the worst clouds ever made, I seriously would fire the sky mapping team cause they failed. I say this rinky dink little cloud that look like it was missing from the the game doom....
From a lot of games out there, AoC is the most envirnomerntally lacking game to be released, even VG has better trees and sky map, truthfully , VG's night time sky map is the best I've seen , ever....... AoC just fails at the over environment becuase of the xbox360's limitations.
Putting bump maps all over everything and creating shadows so dark to hide the lack of quality in the environmental design is awesome for you, then more power to ayh !

Yes Solareus, you have made it clear over, and over, and over, and over, and over... that you do not like the game. I get it.

Lord of the Rings is a nice game I just couldn't get into for some reason.  I don't know why it just didn't click with me.

Those screen shots looked great. But where are the invisible walls? I can't see them for some reason.

    Verrry nice!

If there's one thing trolls cannot touch, it has to be the sublime look of the game, the graphics etc.

Though solareus does a good job attempting to take down the GRAPHICS. It's his job after all, he's bound to be good at something.

if a good game is bound to great graphics Id be playing this forever. Unfortunately, there are stronger issues concerning the game right now other than graphics. You need to have a good balance of substance with graphics to have a game truly shine.

Nice pics Mordria! I kinda feel sorry for the yeti in #14 though... I think they are on the endangered species list!

    Cheers!

    I like Cornall's Valley.

Kudos for shearing the pictures (even though you did it with a positive reason behind it). People likes to be a partypooper...

I'm so broke. I can't even pay attention.

I tried to go through the "linear" zone with a lvl21 today. I wanted to deliver the urn :P  There are different camps and up to lvl 29 mobs. I can asure you that there are many paths, not just the road. I made it up to the water fall and then got eaten by the spiders.

Nice pics. I was buying 1 gig memory today and couldnt resits to buy a passive cooled 8800GT. I now run it at high with shadow and know what you mean.  Left Tortage last night and was surprised about dawn. In Tortage there was no dawn or sunrise. Awesome graphics. Been to Stygia ? The guildcity area has grass higher then my char. Awesome !!

Yes, it's not at all "linear" after Tortage. I don't know where people are getting this idea.
