i hope other game maker start to catch up to wow quality lol that game is 3 years old lol
Beaten by what?
There are 3 types of people in the world. 1.) Those who make things happen 2.) Those who watch things happen 3.) And those who wonder "What the %#*& just happened?!"
No sub numbers have been given out and after the free month probably half will drop out..... In a year see what the population is like but it wont ever catch WOW because it has too many fans.

There is no other incentive but to level as quickly as possible as most of the content is based on level 70.
Leveling is too quick.
The game is based around gear not skill.
Crafting is pointless as drops are better than crafted items.
Blizzard content patches is always 'more of the same'.
Arena broke WoW.
It's soloable to level 70.
After 3 years (with a few breaks in between), 4 level 70s and a level 62, I'm done with WoW. I know longer enjoy playing it. I should point out that I'm not saying don't play it. If you've never played before, go buy it and play it. It kept my interest for 3 years and I normally don't last more than a couple of months on something before I get bored. But, unless Blizzard produces something different in WotLK they will see a drop in there existing player base. They will always get new players so I doubt that WoW will die until they launch there next MMO, but I doubt that will be for sometime.
I don't play it, I find it boring – but the think the technical, artistic and managerial skill that went into that game is without a doubt the best in the industry.
This is a great game and blizzard is one of the best pc (and mac) developers out there. But WoW is not for everyone, and I am a bit disappointed that Blizzard has big ignoring the rest of their fan base. It's good to see SC 2 but I want to see blizzard make more games that are not WoW.
It's playable on virtually any PC. It's easy to level, questing is fairly simple. It's soloable to level 70. There is a lot of end game content Ability to explore the entire map.
Bad things about WoW:
The quests are repetative.

3 years is a LONG time. Any game that holds a player interests for that long deserved to be praised. I have only level ONE char to 70 and I am still playing WOW .. though I doubt it will hold my interests for 3 years.
People need to understand that games are games and no one is really getting a second life in a MMO. Treat it as a very very long game and you will have fun. Try to find more meaning than that and you will be frustrated.
i hope other game maker start to catch up to wow quality lol that game is 3 years old lol
Beaten by what AoC?
Ok lets see why you think that.
Quests? at lvl1 you get quest kill 10x this mob second quest get that item, with oh so easy explanation how to do it and marks on your map and radar.
When you reach lvl20 you have been introduced to a game that point you from a to b in quests with almost zero thinking super easy, wursh thing is 95% of quests is kill 10x 20x or 30x mobs.
Ok after 20 when you go into instance mapped world this will chance.
Sorry my friends it will not, you still have same newbee guidance same super simple quests kill 10x 20x 30x, or deliver this letter from point a to point b.
Im lvl60 and its still same as lvl1.
5 years development and they come up with this super simple game thats one big grind fest with killing endless chain of mobs.
Over years most here where screaming for a mmorpg to come end this brainless mob killing, this game have made it a ART with quests that damage your brain so boring:P
And ive not even mentioned all the other problems this game have, future for this game is already known, this wont hold long players wont take this crap anymore, or you must be completely blind and love to kill a endless chain of mobs untill lvl80:P
WoW brought mmo world millions of new players mostly casual thats good, this brought us already many new casual clones.
I dont say AoC is a clone but gameplay and quests system is so bad it will bring down this game faster then most would hope for hehe.
I wish reviewers where more honest and objective to judge this game for what its realy are, but most reviews are untrue and decieve you in buying this game.
Games played:AC1-Darktide'99-2000-AC2-Darktide/dawnsong2003-2005,Lineage2-2005-2006 and now Darkfall-2009..... In between WoW few months AoC few months and some f2p also all very short few weeks.
WoW cant be beaten. Its best mmorpg in market. Sadly i hate WoW just becouse arena pvp. I like old good 100vs100+ wars in tarren mill. AoC have no chance beat WoW ever. Warhammer is only game what can come "close" WoW... wil see.
I actually strongly have to disagree with your statement yes you're right there are people who play against endless mobs of enemies but there is a continuing challenge to everything. This is where an advantage to team game play comes in which is surprisingly fun and succesful in WoW. Then their is the ability to increase prophets and gain expensive items which are all sellable and if you are really weird will sell these to the team players for real world money. So unless your not interested in money or making friends ya its not the game for you other then that its a really good game.
Wow is tuff to beat. I think Blizzard should stop making these expansions though and focus on making a new Wow. I think blizzard could outdue themselves and further distance thereselves from the competition with a new game.
I'll be anxious to see the sub numbers once WAR establishes itself into the MMO world. I bet they go down atleast 10%. I'm sure WAR will draw even more attention over time and eventually steal even more subs.
I don't live in the US, and WoW is advertised frequently here. Every 7 11 has about 10 copies of the game and a sign outside of the store encouraging you to buy WoW. Blizzard is getting to be the Coca-Cola of video games, now that they are a part of Activision too.

I wish our 7/11s carried games
There are 3 types of people in the world. 1.) Those who make things happen 2.) Those who watch things happen 3.) And those who wonder "What the %#*& just happened?!"
The game that beats WoW will probably be a lot like WoW, only better implemented. WoW is the most popular MMORPG by a huge margin so I'm guessing the next huge thing will be something like it with better graphics.
WoW will gradually strangle itself. After playing for 3 yrs it is a dull endless grind. And WotLK looks like it'll bring much of the same.
Fire Kalagan and bring in some new blood. Pple who can balance the classes, create interesting quests, move away from the rep grind or at least let it have an influence on the game world/players (rep faction pvp?), design more content for the masses and not the minority of HC highend raiders - regular updates adding/altering encounters and the shape of the instances in the 5 mans and 10mans.
How about a few more BGs? Maybe ones inside structures like say an underground maze or something. Or increase the size of arena teams and make additional arenas which are larger and more suited to the team size - an underground maze or something. A larger arena team would mean that class/speccs like enhance shaman/feral druid/SP etc would no longer be lol worthy (just get 2 strong premades in a current BG and u can see that these class are a welcome addition).
Remove or completely rework the filler talents that each class has, why are they there? Remove or completely rework the useless spells i.e. sentry totem, windwall.
i hope other game maker start to catch up to wow quality lol that game is 3 years old lol
The quality you're talking about is mainly affected by the size of the budget. WoW had far biggest budget so far from all other games out there. (5 times more than Vanguard for example) and largest marketing adv campaign. Fortunately the quality you're talking about is not the one I seek.

I can't decide what I like best about your post, your picture, your quote or your actual post so lets take them in order.
1) It's great. I love it. Fits you perfectly.
2) Was the double negative intended, because it's the funniest part of the quote?
3) Quality is quality, no matter the price, or if you prefer "You get what you pay for". That's particularly apropos to both WoW and Vanguard.

Ahhh Dain Bramage ~ Make it stop....as if my head didn't hurt enough already....Run Away!
I do not see WoW getting beaten by anyone except if they beat themselves by a mistake or new game
