I got the CE as well. I have no interest in the figurine or novel though so thoes will probably end up on ebay to offset the cost of the CE. Like some others this is my first CE purchase.
Pre-Ordered 2 CE's....1 for me, and the 2nd for someone eventually{Friend, Guild Mate, etc!} Or I may just hang onto it for awhile and wait for it to becomes rare & worth a lot then sell it...heh!
I always try a trial before buying a mmorpg and it;s a shame because they give in game bonuses to people who bought the CE which I think is dumb.... I'll probably end up hating the game anyways if it has no death penalty then PVP is pointless like WOW or AOC.

WAR is more RvR than PvP. Death stings when it benefits the enemy, as it did in DAoC.
Both my girlfriend and I pre-ordered several months ago...loved DAOC,so I got faith Warhammer will be decent.
We will be at this years Gen Con...so will see it again first hand. Last time was 2 years ago at Gen Con,and it looked rough around the edges, but still fun.
Considering selling the OB access code for my 2nd copy! Won't need it, and it'll just go to waste and worthless later when I may sell the box anyway....hmmm
I've pre-ordered the CE from both Amazon and GameStop, first one to send me the codes for beta gets my money rofl. I'll cancel the other one, if both of them screw me over, I'll cancel both and go out and buy it at a local store.

I'm considering it. That is a lot of money for a game though. I don't often order CE, but with WAR it may be worth it. More than likely I will probably wait and order the regular retail box set. I don't blaim those who want to get the CE though, I would get it if I wasn't paying so much money on gas every month.

Start calling them on monday. Call them every day untill you get your code. Do NOT trust them on this. Gamestop has messed up big time on the codes. When the CE first went on sale people, including myself, who like you has given them alot of money had issues with getting my codes. The store manager at our store had to call coperate to even get my code. GS/EB has given out a ton of codes to thoes that didnt even buy the CE and some stores even ran out of there alloted amount of codes. If you do some looking a few pages back I'm sure you can find many threads talking about it.
Trust them if you want but I dont wanna see someone get screwed out of there codes. GS screwed up bad enough on this one I wont be pre-ordering anything else from them. Glad you got your CE though and good luck on getting your codes!

the penalty is making you waste time to get back to the battle.. (i know this sounds stupid but if you played RVR before you would know)

They told me when I'd get my code so I don't know if calling them everyday will make it come much faster, or make them very happy with me.
It boils down to either being willing to take what you paid for and are owed, or settling for what they give you. I don't believe most reps in these stores know the ramifications of not getting someone their pre-order codes or their copy of the CE software when it hits the store. For them the worst they can get is a sideways look from a manager, so what's in it for them to take time to understand the process and who gets what?
I fully intend to annoy the hell out of the store that sold me the pre-order CE box, and make sure that some Joe off the street doesn't walk in and grab my copy off the shelf. If you haven't even gotten all your codes yet, you're even more exposed. It's nothing to really worry about yet since we're far from release, but it is enough to be concerned about a few weeks from now.
i preordered but am being very wary of it......i have now been burned with a bunch of crap preorders....so i am just researching and watching atm...i got no qualms cancelling it if it doesnt work out
Never, ever, ever, pre-order an mmo. Glad I didn't with AoC, wished I hadn't with LotRO. Never will again and that is the best advice I can give to anyone after playing these damn things since AOL's Neverwinter Nights.
I wasn't going to pre-order, but I ended up ordering it a few weeks ago. I figure I can use the open beta to try every class to see which I would like to play as my main. I was also going to buy the game the day it came out anyway, so I don't see the harm in buying it. Hopefully open beta starts this summer because I want a damn game to play. Nothing out right now appeals to me.
I just the pre order for the CE, cant wait for it to come out!!! Andput together that ork warboss/shaman model!! I'v been waching the pod casts and i think its going to be an awsome game at release.
