Im pretty sure now to. I zoomed in on the title bar- its says the same thing the CC disk does, and the art and loading screen are right off the CC disk. Its probaly not real, even if it is, ebay will take it down for selling a beta(under nda).

Not Nessecarily, two months ago on Ebay a guy was selling a World of Warcraft beta account, he had 57 bids, when it got shut down the High big was $11,504. Saw the item myself.

Actually the Pre-Order boxes have been released for QUITE a while now. This is actually a legit beta account, they just let in the next wave of people, the Legends group or Long Time Subscribers, whichever one it was it was supposedly a good number of people. Very likely one of them saw the oppurtunity to make some quick cash and decided that was better than making use of the account themselves.

SOE has already terminated plenty of accounts that are being sold without the owners knowledge... so people who purchase the accounts are gonna be in for a suprise.
even if i had 500$ to waste i would never buy a beta account, its just not worth it, especially for that amount. i would rather buy a new gfx card with that 500$, lol.
500bucks? i mean i can see someone paying 75bucks for a beta account, $50 for the game and 2 months of monthly fee equals out to about that, but 500? that is ridiculous.

I'd rather earn my beta legally than to buy it off ebay where SOE can sue you for exploiting the beta. Even the screenshot of the opening screen is copyrighted and it is being shown to all the world. That is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Hard to believe someone would pay that much to play the beta of any game. Leads me to believe peoples expectations are way to high, which can only mean disappointment.
I'm actually all for the selling of beta accounts and any ingame items. I think companies should begin to regulate it themselves and offer these services because it will happen no matter what. Ebay isn't the only place, nor is it the best.
So reporting such a thing to SOE doesn't make sense to me. What harm is it doing to you, to them, or anybody? It's a win-win situation, unless somebody gets ripped off.
You know I contemplated selling my beta account I won on this site. You people dont realize that people will pay you 500$ to buy a EQ2 beta account. to some people that is not alot of money.
Also note with 500$ I could buy a brand new geforce 6800 Ultra. I dont have one yet and well It would make me be able to enjoy my EQ2 experience when the game is actually out (example).
And it isnt illegal until that person signs the NDA. I even asked if I was allowed to sell it. THey said that they had clause's in the NDA that permitted it. And Ebay doesnt allow the selling of beta account (Although for some reason there are 100 WoW accounts up for sale). So I wouldnt sell mine just because it is in bad taste with SOE. It isnt illegal though since you are not selling the actual account (That would be SOE"s property). Just that they could terminate the account if they found out at their discretion which wouldntnt be good.
Now I think all you people are jealous that somebody would sell something like that. Im sure if you had your own accounts you wouldnt mind the oppurtunity to give it to someone else that wants it for the money people are willing to pay for them. You are all acting like depraved losers. JEalousy.
And why would SOE ban accounts that have already been sold? The beta started 2 or 3 days ago. So really people have onlys igned the NDA for a few days and there has been 1 auction.... Do you know something I dont?
