We don't really have games that utilize DX10. Note I said utilize not use. There are many special things written for DX10 only that just aren't even used yet. I really don't see the point in DX11 considering this and the fact only 1 graphics card maker has the stuff already inside for DX11. That being a tesselator and the clocks to render out that many polies outside a workstation card.
There was a big gap (five years) between DirectX 9 and 10. The longevity of DirectX 9 is a major reason why the DirectX 10 shift is not quick. Before DirectX 9 Microsoft released updates about every year.
lol atleast we can start making our computers future proof, by buying video cards that support DX11!!!!!

Microsoft said games won't even utilise 10.1 for about 3-5 years if at all, so how long do they expect 11 to be out 2020? lol
