sory i forgot to add dark age of camelot or SWG um but se now that if u look at this pool statisticaly and compare it with the game list on the site u can se how the game list is being manipulated by accounts made by fanbois to raise the hype or rating of a game (thats why made this poll for the guys that said what a stupid pool)
Guild Wars is the game to play. The fact that each game can stand alone or be combined for a very great gaming experience. Each stand alone game is geared towards a style of play so if your not an all around player you can pick the game that plays best to you. And lets just face this is the most value your going to get out of any game. I mean just buy the game and that is it. It is the perfect balance for normally not MMO players between free to play and subscription gaming. If it were not for that game I would not have ever gotten into the MMO genre.
I'm really liking Vanguard at this stage that it's in, it has all the elements that want in a mmo. Asheron's Call was another great mmo that should be on that list.
yea about that how is it going with vanguard is it well populated did they take most of the bugs (especialy the realy bad ones) out and is it even enjoyable
ok im gona tell you something about.... well actualy every succesfull company. If it is a sucesfull game and noone complains about something or a very low percentage of people complain they wound give a fu ck or cra p if you prefere :P cause look ask yourself this question and be thrutfull if you had a company and like made quite a bit of money and you would say to yourself why are they still buying my products i mean their the same just a litlle different in design..... o well il make more different designes but with the same effect that is what blizzard is actualy doing or has done in TBC (exept for flying mounts but thats a waist if u ask me) at least their i think trying to make LoTK better cause i think they realised that more and more people are becoming unsatisfied So actualy their just in it for the money :P like i would be

Pretty much sums it up, Wow Eve and Lotro, the 3 best games on the market. You might not like them, but those 3 are clearly head and shoulders better than anything else on the market.
Where's an option for a GOOD MMO? You know, the old ones like EverQuest and Asheron's Call and Dark Age of Camelot? Only other decent ones on there are vanguard and Ultima Online.
i liked world of warcraft when i played it. i like the idea of 2 warring factions in a very hostile world. i liked how it wasnt a grindfest to lvl up and instead, u had to do quests that were rarely boring. the most that i liked about it was the end-game content, i think every mmo should put end-game into one of their top priorities as it is what keeps people playing. but idk if the "best though, cuz it seems like it aint goin nowhere.
but right now im playing Requiem: Bloodymare. its only been out for 3-4 weeks but its really fun now. theres still some bugs and glitches, and some unbalanced classes/mobs, but this game has huge potential to become great. give it a few months and itll be fit enough to compete with whats out there( and its free). theres a ton of ex-wow players there too and youll feel that it kinda plays alot like wow (the questing, grinding, etc.). and despite being a korean made game, the english grammar is like 95% perfect. this game is totally different from any other korean crap out there.
A fanboi of what? Sorry, your grammar/spelling is terrible. I have no clue what you said. But if I had to take a guess I would summarize it as "Blizzard makes enough money so they can do whatever they want."

Does that sum it up? Who's the fanboi?
a ok sory i thought u were a fanboi and um my grammar is so bad cause im kinda learning how to type without looking at my keyboard and yea that does sum it up :P sory i called u a fanboi xD
actually find the older MMOs more enjoyable than the newer ones.
The biggest problem I have had with every MMO has namely fallen in the group aspects. Since in WYD you really need to perform some "team work" to be able to excel in the game.I may be picky, but I enjoy the teamwork required in many MMOs.

I really wanted to vote for City of Heroes/Villains. In its absence, I voted EQ1.

I switched to Vanguard last week and its awesome. One of the best online communities I seen.
LOTRO hands down.
I've dabbled in a few trials of EVE and have been impressed, but the game seems very daunting to new players.
WoW would be up there if Blizzard had more frequent content updates and expansions. With the amount of money they're raking in it's almost criminal.

I've never played some of the older generation stuff but other than that, I would choose "None of the above."
I would have said earth and beyond if that was up there and if it was still around, but ill vote eq2
playing eq2 and two worlds
The Best MMORPG for me so far is WYD-GLOBAL
