Announcing: The New Force Ranking System

Greetings fellow Jedi! Are you looking for long term Jedi themed content? Are you tired of waiting on the old FRS to be brought back? If so, the New Force Ranking System is finaly here!

The purpose of the NFRS is to provide a universal ranking and content system that all members of the Jedi profession can take part in regardless of server, faction, or guild.

The NFRS has 7 ranks:

Rank 1: Force Sensitive

Rank 2: Initiate

Rank 3: Padawan

Rank 4: Knight

Rank 5: Master

Rank 6: Council Member

Rank 7: Grand Master

Each rank is gained by earning "Force Points". Force Points can be earned in the following ways:

(a) Terminal missions(1 Force Point each)

(b) Space missions(2.5 Force Points each)

(c) GCW PvP kills(5 Force Points each)

(d) Heroic Encounters(10 Force Points each)

To recieve credit for Force Points, a screenshot must be posted in your character's scoresheet of the system message that is displayed when you:

(a) complete the terminal mission

(b) destroy all fighter wings

(c) recieve credit for a GCW PvP kill

(d) defeat the final boss in a heroic encounter

Below is the Force Point requirment for each rank:

Rank 1 = 100 FPs

Rank 2 = 250 FPs(total)

Rank 3 = 500 FPs(total)

Rank 4 = 1000 FPs(total)

Rank 5 = 2500 FPs(total)

Rank 6 = 5000 FPs(total)

Rank 7 = 10000 FPs(total)

Once you have gained the required amount of Force Points to advance to a new rank, send a PM to "admin" with a link to your character scoresheet. After your screenshots have been verrified your rank will be adjusted in the NFRS Ranking List.

For more information on the NFRS and how to join, please visit the official NFRS Forums. May the Force be with you!

     Is this a JOKE???

  • SWGcasualtySWGcasualty Member Posts: 11

    Yes it is a joke.

    There is currently no type of Jedi ranking system in game and, no sign of one coming.

    No, it is not a joke. The NFRS is a player created ranking system for any member of the Jedi profession that is tired of waiting on the Devs.

    Hence the folly of Jedi in SWG.

    I'd recommend making that a little more clear in your original post because it could be a little misleading.

    And you certainly dont have to take part in it if you feel that way. But for those who arent satisfied sitting on their hands waiting on the Devs to bring back the old FRS, the NFRS gives them something to do.

    if they are to bring the FRS back they would need to bring back permadeath only to jedi and TEFS putting the Jedi population back into hiding...where they belong... any LS ignites they are open game to anyone and can be attacked by anyone if they get incapped or have to clone they lose XP points once they lose enough xp and drop to a certian level they die ..... losing that Jedi forever.... this would purge all the Jedi from the servers and balance the population again.... and bring back the fun of the old game........ oh yeah I forgot let Darth Vader hunt Jedi again also if he gets a hold of you and kills you your dead also........

    You could also do the smart thing and stop paying for a game where you are so completely ignored by the developers. Trust me, money is the only thing that's important to SOE.

    No...they are being ignored because this sort of ranking system has no place in SWG.

    I'm afraid you are quire mistaken. What you mean is the Jedi SHOULD be extinct in SWG's timeline. You mean there SHOULDNT be any Padawans or anyone else. Yet, it is obvious that SWG does not follow the story of the movies. Jedi DO exist in SWG and they exist in large numbers. Whether or not they SHOULD is beside the point. Since they DO, then it is illogical that there ISNT some kind of "underground order" like the FRS.

    And that is what ripped this game apart from day one....jedi.

    You are right, they are there in your face in a twisted timeline BUT hey, EA just announced "Knights of the Old Republic online" so no need for Jedi in this game anymore.

    Considering the Meatlump chapter that was just released I think it's safe to say that nobody expects SWG to have anything to do with the canonical Star Wars universe.

    LMAO, a card game!  That's the weakest thing I've seen in a long time from a development team.  If these players think this is a good thing then they are as deserving for their poor treatment as they seem.

    I stopped playing SWG years ago but reading this thread really made me laugh. Players trying to make up their own game WITHIN a game? How desperate can you possibly be? It reminds me of when I was playing EQ2 and all the sad roleplayers were filling the chat-channels with rubbish that they were making up to compensate for the fact that the game itself wasnt giving them what they wanted. None of their so-called roleplaying antics had anything to do with the limited game they were playing.

    Truly this is sad on an epic scale! So your gonna have a universal ranking system are you? OK then why not just save yourself the hassle and give yourself a rank 7? Hell why not splash out and give yourself a rank 10?! Go on be generous........and a universal content system? Thats gonna be interesting considering its not in the game.

    Anyway to all you forum readers, I have now created my very own universal ranking system. Anyone who types the following will receive the equivalent rank. You can then log into SWG and be the envy of all your friends with the honour your new rank will bring.

    The JRT Universal Ranking System

    Oink = Jedi Ass Licker

    Zoink = Jedi Knuckle Shuffler

    Boink = Jedi Noob

    Ploink = Jedi Window Cleaner

    Fwoink = Jedi Tea Maker

    Dwoink = Jedi Janiter

    Cloink = Jedi House Wife

    Fwoink = Jedi Dice Roller

    Goink = Jedi Almost But No Quite

    Moink = Jedi The Bestest Ever!! Woot!!

    As you can see the JRT has 10 ranks as opposed to the NFRS which only has 7. This clearly means that anyone joining the JRT will be able to kick the ass of anyone belonging to the NFRS. Obviously the game doesnt have any system to make it possible to prove this but that doesnt matter right?

    Also you will find that it is much easier to progress through the ranking system of the JRT than it is to progress through the ranking system of the NFRS. In the NFRS you have to take screenshots of places in the game and it could take ages before you reach the dizzying heights of Grand Master. If you join the JRT then all you need to do is type the word "Moink" and become "Jedi The Bestest Ever!! Woot!!" and immediately become more powerful than anyone in the NFRS.

    So come and join the JRT (Jedi Roleplaying Twats) and prove your worth. Is the force strong with you?

    While you made me laught and i tend to agree with you on the RPG antics, there is one point you have to concede. in a sandbox mmorpg. and it is not just SWG is any sandbox mmorpg; players are supposed to make their own game within the game itself.

    Yes I do concede that........they are indeed meant to set their own goals and objectives. However if what they are doing has nothing to do with the game they are playing then why bother? Certainly there is nothing wrong with making things up. Its all totally harmless afterall but I think the line gets crossed into "I am a sad twat" territory when you log into a game to do something that has nothing to do with it. Then again maybe it is just the game itself that is sad because it clearly doesnt give the players the freedom they need to do what they want.

    The OP is clearly annoyed that SWG doesnt have the ranking system he wants. Making one up doesnt solve the issue though. The fact that he enjoys that kind of makes me feel sorry for him to be honest. I dont mean to be mean but I think you have to be in a pretty desperate state of mind to start pretending that something is there when it isnt, simply to cover over the fact that the game just isnt what you want it to be. Why not go and play with some star wars figures or something? Or just accept the fact that SWG doesnt have a ranking system and get on with playing the game as it is.

    If I logged into Counterstrike and tried to get people to pretend it was a roleplaying game where the terrorists are actually demons and the SAS are demonhunters and by killing the demons you get special demonhunter ranks......well.....I would expect people to take the piss out of me for being a very sad individual.

    You could also do the smart thing and stop trolling the General Discussion boards, which is supposed to be for people who actually PLAY THE GAME to post their concerns, and go back to the whiner's forum.

    I fully agree. but the problem here to a point is not the game. it is the players. the FRS was something that was created if i recall well to provide some degree of content to jedi when jedi was a kind of exclusive, hard to achieve and dangerous profession. From the moment light saber TEF and jedi started to be treated as any other profession that system was removed, i see no point in a FRS.  well then why not a smugler ranking system or an entertainer ranking system... in a way i see more viability in the last one (since i do know some entertainers that actually entertain)

    Just as a side note the devs actually did release the updated FRS on TC, it was up for a few months but was pulled from live release due to bugs in the system they could not resolve.

    This was the old TC way before the blue frogs that destroyed that TC, the jedi had to unlock the same way as any other server. No XP bonus, or anything to help advance game play.

    Despite your attempt at justifying your douchebaggery, the only thing that is sad here is the fact that you obviously have such low self esteem that you feel compelled to insult other people to make youself feel better. If you dont like "imaginary" RP systems...then dont take part in them. Its that simple. The fact that you feel the need to go that extra mile and insult the people who DO enjoy something you dont only reveals the kind of person you really are.

    Yes you are correct. I am pure evil. I was born in the lower regions of Hell and as a result I find it hard to result from stooping to a lower level of behaviour. I try my best to be a nice and fluffy person but I very rarely succeed in that task.

    However as much as I try to open myself to a feeling of guilt at my horrific and mentally scaring attack on yourself, I just cant seem to quite get the feeling to manifest. I really have tried but I guess my demonic upbringing and self-loathing just seems to block any feelings of remorse or regret. Its a shame really as I wish I could experience such feelings as other mortals do. I promise to keep trying though.

    No I dont like imaginary RP systems. I like roleplaying in games but what you are doing has nothing to do with the game you are playing. It has no impact on it at all. Feel free to deny that if you think you can. Of course I dont mean to infringe on your personal ways of enjoying yourself. However you have openly advertised your "imaginary RP system" on the internet and have therefore openly invited me to attack your silly, pointless and innefectual system.

    Yes I have chucked in a few insults and a bit of name calling too. Well its all just extra ammo that all members of the JRT are encouraged to use when facing members of the NFRS. Feel free to strike back at your oppressors or simply take the high road and refuse to stoop to such low levels. You are a Jedi arent you? Surely your training should allow you to combat evil beings such as myself, especially as I have such a low self esteem. Be warned though for I am about to rise to level 10 in my ranking system so you will find me VERY hard to defeat. Here goes.........
