as ex. AoC player i've just read a few articles wtf is going on with this game and get the picture that Funcom is in truble as AoC is going down ... big time.

I didn't start this post that some can acuse each other of .... whatever.
I'm not looking for diferences in gaming community but things on witch we can agree on.
I think (and this is my personal opinion) anyone who plays mmos and spending money on it have right 2 know as much as possible on game witch i or u plan 2 buy. We (i and maybe u) must have a negative opinion on obvious lies, ignorance and PR witch they call itself a gamers community.
That i think is what we should agree on.

once agian i called what would happen to age of CONan and funCON
facts are CONan sucks & most real gamers know that for a fact. no one wants to play a watered down waste of a game like CONan. people want games like pre-tram uo or pre-cu swg.
mark my words funCON will in the next 2 months drop the 360 aoc. that will be good as of this e3 micro$oft showed how well the 360 is doing. and in 4 months funCON will be looking for someone to buy them out.
this is a good thing my friends as now new mmo devs are going to see that telling lies to your playerbase and ripping them off and giving them boring systems is not the way to go.
by the end of this year gaming will be back on track so thank you funCON for helping us all win out in the end.
i would nt be suprised to be honest if funcom dont survive this fisaco . in someways i hope they do . it ll serve as a warning to other developers to not release games that should be in beta still to the public . also i think even without all its problems funcom overshot the system specs of the average pc which limited thier potential subcriber basis . conan has some good ideas in it but i think the only hope now for funcom is that they are able to produce a success on the xbox360 with it . i hear that version of the game is in doubt though now .

lol i like the CONS . one million people conned out of 35 pounds is nt a joke really though . it really is damaging to the future of mmos ...after vangard and now conan how many people are going to invest in a new game on release in the future . also how many will have confidence in funcom now . theres an old saying fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me .

10K ping and memory leaks will kill AoC faster than any shoddy blogger.
I'm glad I bought the game to play it before the
hit the fans. I made my own mind up about the game and did not let myself be persuaded by what is on the forums.
Reading all of these threads on this site and elsewhere I'd be going NUTS. The rational part of me would be listening to the complaints and the gamer side of me would want to jump at the game because of its "features" and character customization and fluidity (my weakness).

Well After being burned by the infamous Dark and Light release and the Vanguard release, I decided that I would not ever enter a new game until it has been alive for at least 90 days. This allows time for the first wave of players to tear through the content and find the real soul of a game. It is also enough time to get some reactive patching and content adds in by the develpers.
This game has recieved so much hype and so many of my buds were contacting me to get me into the game. I refused and chose to wait. I think I am glad I did.
Has anyone noticed, there hasn't been a really successful MMO launch in a long time? Seriously? Maybe the best sustained game is LOTRO and even it isn't really doing all that fantastic.
I actually love conan, runs very smoothly and i have suffered no issues.

get over it, get over yourself and find a game to enjoy without complaining about a game for whatever reason.
So... That is based on a blog, and stocks... Blogs have never been reliable, and neither are stocks at the moment. Which stock isn't suffering the crisis?

No hard feelings AoC fans i'm not so disappointed with game itself but the way Funcom deals with the problems AND players is NOT ACCEPTABLE. Gaming community must tell clearly to Funcom and all game publishers that this is not the way and we will not tolerate such attitude from publishing corporations! There's a big difference between dealing with public opinion and creating one 4 selling puposes !

Now see, you do the game no favors by flagrantly telling lies about the game. I play AOC, many of my friends play AOC from all across the country. We enjoy the game, but face it, everyone faces the periodic (nightly sometimes) client disconnects, lag spikes that freeze you in place, and other issues.
Some of the quests are buggy and incomplete. (I still can't get my main in the damn arena) and there's interesting glitches all around the map. The PVP has absolutely no reward to it (yes, I know they're working on it), several missing features.
Couple that with an insane company running it. (you can be banned for farming gray epic mobs for cash?) and draconian moderation policies on the official forums.

yes worst thing is i was reading the ao forums .was looking to go back to that seems one of the main guys who worked on ao as been taken of there and put in charge of aoc not only aoc failing but ao will fail to which is a shame as ao was much better game 6 years in the makeing this what come down to less subs that runescape
Umm aren't you the guy that posted you went dumpster diving in Biowares garbag bins and found proof that Biowares MMO is Kotor yet you won't post it anywhere or give it to anyone else to post anywhere? As for AoC if its fun play it, if not cancil, and as to Hype you find everywhere. Marketing hypes cars, foods, diets, movies etc, and so on. You expect MMO's won't be hyped as well? (and they all have been from EQ bac in the day to WAR these days.) At some point people actually have to take some responsibility for their own choices. If you believe everything the mass marketing hype machines puts out then its not really the MMO's fault its just that your guilible. People actually need to try thinking a bit for themselves rather then blame their actions on others. ie "but, but I heard it was gonna be the greatest game ever they lied to me!!"
And no any MMO or company going under is not a good thing. it means less investors to creat new and innovated games and more players turning away from the Genre because their game failed/went under etc.

Don't compare Console gamers to PC gamers. Sure, lot of us have both consoles and PC's, but the true console gamers are very, VERY different from the true PC gamers.
I wouldn't be surprised if the 360 AoC beats the PC version's subs. Not likely, but I could see it happen.
*cough* YOU are an MMO dev? I sure hope not in the community department... And may I see some evidence of that? Like your ground-breaking MMO? Or your huge player base? Even a website which mentions your name as a developer?
For as far as I know, MMO devs rarely ever flame other games, because they know limitations (which you obviously don't). So let's face it, Funcom has achieved more than you, as a wannabe MMO dev, will ever achieve.
Edit; Forgot to mention why devs don't flame other games. IF (which I doubt) you do have a player base, and they also play AoC, they'll see you, and your company as one of the many trolls. result; they'll quit playing your game. And you also said devs don't lie to their customer's? Scaring them away is just as bad.

no i am not the guy who went dumpster diving at bioware. bioware belongs in the dumpster and bioware will go in the dumpster if kotor online or whatever mmo bioware is working on isn't a pre-cu sandbox system.
and CONan isn't fun it is the same old game that people like $OE blizzard and other devs have been spoon feeding us for the last 8 years. most people will tell you the same thing they hate level based non-sandbox titles and demand better games.
and yes funCON falling apart is a good thing we need funCON to go under along with $OE and the others that way other devs will see that the whole eq/warcraft system does not work and that yes the only way to save mmo gaming is for all new mmos to become skill based sandbox games.
and a real gamer wouldn't put up with what funCON does. a real gamer isn't a fanboi or fanbot claiming that the game is good. fact is CONan sucks and most posters on here are with me on that.

Seriously dude calm down and stop flattering yourself. Stop trying to speak for the masses, it just makes you look like a megalomaniac. It's just YOUR opinion (which I can respect) but it's nothing more and nothing less.
im playing AOC right now with a lvl 80 Conq and a lvl 40 necro and im having a blast. i can careless what conspiracy nuts are spewing. i am no fanboi but I know what i enjoy, and I am having a blast in AOC despite the bugs. the 10k ping issue isnt there anymore granted you get 4.8k but u at least dont get knocked fof the server. also there is alot of patches coming out balancing of classes, fixing quest bugs, fixing other performance issues.
is the game buggy? yeah there's no covering that truth. but is it fun? yeah to me and plenty fo people. its not your typical MMO which u smash buttons in concession or randomly fighting to some degree requires some thinking, some use of tactics, use of stances, knowing when to use one combo to the next based on the player ur fighting.
in the end people are entitled to bitch, or complain and vent their frustrations, and will do regardless of your consent or not. but I feel if you complain at least put some facts behind the reasoning for your bitching. And secondly and more importantly, if you dont like the game, dont pay for it. just remember no one is forcing you to play a game. I always try to base my complaints on fact, if i dont have the facts I usually keep my mouth shut, or at least do research before i state something with a common purpose to explain why this A, B, or C game sucks and why.
and Thirdly this is a new game, I am giving it time despite the problems. And I wont be unsubscribing anytime soon.
