Famine, the only way you'll be able to get through to the people on this forum is to start being honest, because right now, everyone sees through your little PR spin stunt and you're getting owned. Admit the game is still in beta, that things are not going well and the subscriber base is dwindling fast. Then start opening up You might find that honesty creates goodwill. Of course, you should start doing those things on the official AOC forums, but since it's 1984 over there and you and Tahitoa are following the Pol Pot guide to forum moderation, I doubt we'll see that happen any time soon.
Sure, I could not agree more. I don't expect much here right off the bat. I only came to the forums to endorse a volunteer looking to convey information to the forums as well give some raw feedback back. Like I posted previously, only time will tell with that and I'm more than willing to take it one step at a time.
Why do you post crap like this? You make it sound like every thing is rosy and that there is nothing wrong. If you are here to endorse a volunteer, why are you posting then?. What raw feedback are you providing apart from saying somthing about your age?
You dont expect much here right off the bat, but it seems it's a bat your getting in the face when everyone is owning you here. Please post somthing "constructive" and not puppy talk like you are in every post you make.
If AoC is dead now what can we say about EQ2, Lotro, Vanguard and Tabula Rasa?
...
Well, let's see... EQ2: quite alive and stagnating, LOTRO: very much alive and expanding, VG: barely alive but actually resurrecting, TR: almost dead, stagnating.
AOC: still alive, but dying faster than greased lightning...
DB
The population was bigger at the release, but I saw that happening with Lotro, EQ2, L2 and Guild Wars ( the only one that started full of content and with a fantastic performance ).
Except Guild Wars is FREE after purchase...and oh yea, I can login any day and see adverts for Guilds of "400 active players"
We will NEVER see that in AoC or EQ2 or LOTRO or Vanguard.
You must not be that informed, friend. Turbine has since repaired all of the server-related issues associated with Book 14. Turbine has handled LOTRO extremely well over the past year, and I have never seen any issues that ran to the extent of some of the problems that came with the recent update. These issues were fixed in a timely, competent manner, anyway.

Sorry
Not MY information, but the users who have posted. I only report what I read is all.
They state it is not fixed, you state it is. Maybe no one is right.
Anyways, way off topic, so, lets leave that subject out of this.

Well, fury went free and is dead now, Guild Wars is a great game, the fact the game is very well populated even now if based on good marketing and quality.
About EQ2, well, outside US no one even know SOE games, I hope this change someday.
About AOC, well it didnt started as Guild Wars, it started more like EQ2, but for some reasons I belive the game can improve and be much more bigger than EQ2 ( and I must say I really enjoy EQ2 )
Even if Lotro and DDO were free after purchase, I still belive they would not be as successful as Guild Wars.

Agreed on Fury. But Fury was a disaster to start, Guild Wars was excellent out of the gate.
Quality, stability and a good game structure helps GW survive as long as it has.
lotro beta whas a smooth experience, and everything after thet whas even more smooth. lotro raised the bar for quality and stability.
vanguard, in some ways, i still love the vanguard beta, but i can't login, and zoning still break flyiing mounts.
aoc, is arcade, and a novelty.. soo sad 80 is a wall, that is killing the game
aoc forums (spanish), you get warning for mundane things, like something slighty offtopic, or something that the moderator has not understand, or to reply in a 30 days old post, etc..
tabula rasa, littel fun game til you get 30 and you see theres nothing to do, ruined in the beta with a patch that degenerated the gameplay to something much slower.
aoc is dyiing, but not for the forum, but for the lack of something to do at 80
We might not see Famine for a while. Heck, I wouldn't want to come to this lions den if I were him either. I honestly think Funcom has made about every mistake possible when it comes to customer relations. Feel free to anwser some questions if you come back though. Afterall, you said you agree correct?
Maybe he'll come back disguised as a regular poster and try to do more damage control and get owned again

Indeed, to tell the truth Guild Wars was the only MMO I experienced that was released already fantastic.

Considering that game is mostly instances like aoc funcom fails even harder.

Not exacly, AoC is much more similar to Everquest 2 when we talk about zones and instances, and EQ2 also had a hard start.
Guild Wars is very different in the way cities, instances and servers work.
...
Yeah, but imo eq2 did a way better job at instancing. Alot of the zones are connected, and you can actually run out of cities into the world. Immersion wise, eq2 > aoc.
Back on topic though, because we're talking about AoC here. Other games have no bearing on this discussion, beside the fact they screwed up less imo.

And to see people making a game that they hate/do not like , a personal vendetta is sad imo.

Oh yeah, we shouldn't expect any anwsers from them at all, even when they "agree".
Too many people have the bend over and take it mentality.
