Gotta go with WASD movement, and Mouse camera control, but I guess playing so many FPS I'm kinda been used to it since the Duke Nukem 3d days.

i dont mind either of em, actually.

i probably like PnC because Im an ex-UO addict.

and WASD is simple, comfortable, and controllable.

PnC or WASD, ill play em both.

    Point and click

I think WASD movement is for dummies.

I've played all UO, Lineage2, Shadowbane and like the point n click!

For pvp I like zooming out as far as I can go,  and play in 3rd person.  Best way to play imo in pvp.  Did this is Daoc too even though its movement was wawtf.

Well in most older games that's the case, but for some of the newer ones (like Wish) the server actually is keeping track of you every second. It was pretty cool, because you'd pick where you wanted to move to, and the server would pick the entire path for you. Because the server knew exactly where everyone would be at any time, all this stuff was very precise - if you tried to follow something, you wouldn't run at their current position, you'd run at the place that they'd be when you got to them.

So the way it works is that you tell the server your destination (X,y,z) and the server would send back a list of points that you would have to go through to get to your destination. The server knew exactly how fast you could move, so it knew when you'd hit those points, and it didn't need to check back with you unless you interrupted your movement or you hit your final destination.

Because of the way it worked I bet more MMOGs start using something like it. You just can't believe how cool that pathfinding is unless you see it in action. It would be nice to be able to move in other ways though - the point and click stuff was a pain in tight areas or going up spiral staircases and stuff like that.

Sounds neat, but sounds like it's taxing on the servers... think about 5000 people all giving their locations, all the time... at the same time.

They better have some kick ass servers.
