The game is good, but I still gladly run to the open arms of CoH. WoW is really smoth, but I don't like the char creator (bland) and most missions annoyed the hell out of me. A paladin putting his life on the line so a kid can be bribed with a meat pie? Give me a break. The missions in CoH are all similar, but at least they had themes of importance. Does it get better in latter levels or are you still running Fed-Ex missions?
WoW is an addiction I cannot wait to be able to feed again! I played the stress test and am left wanting more. I have researched many MMORPGs looking for something that I think I'll like and WoW is the only one so far that fits the bill.
1) Graphics: Cartoony... yes. But I liked them. If I was looking for realistic images showing beautiful scenery, I'd go outside... maybe even travel. 2) Gameplay: Excellent gameplay. I played an Undead Priest and was weak as anything. I enjoyed the challenge of soloing for 90% of the game. And when I was ready to join a group, there were many who'd accept me. 3) There is no #3.
The only thing that would prevent me from playing WoW when it is released is an insanely high monthly fee.
Originally posted by numatic Tried to play DAoC again after 8 days of stress testing(lost 2 days when i was away). Couldnt stay on for more then 20mins. Cancelling the account soon.
Lol I did the same exact thing! Can't go back to DAOC after we got a sniff of WOW!
Originally posted by Djin #2 is awesome. And another priest, how was the game playing a priest? Could you solo pretty easy? I'm thinking about going the way of a healer.
I started a priest at the very end of the stress test. Only got to lvl 5, but I really liked him. Seemed to solo pretty good.
Originally posted by Vakktn I have no other MMO accounts atm all I have is Tribes Vengeance Beta to play so that will have to do till OB/Retail of WoW comes around which looks like it wont be for a month or two.
Dude I dled Tribes from fileplanet too but it aint anything great but what the hell... anyway I decided that i needed a complete game to occupy my last remaining hours of free time... I found that these games certainly are sweet... if you like me are usually a fps gamer
DOOM 3 - When i got this game i was sure that either it would be awesome or the genre would be screwed up (DOOM original fan ) but I can tell you this... this is both one of the most scarring games ive played and the most immersing... (the ppl who made this game are DOODLED up man) Multiplayer suks though but god single player.... I still wake up screaming
Call Of Duty - Best War game ever... Multiplayer insane (Search and Destroy Game type only)... And the single player is both realistic, fun and... whats a word for feels like its real... realistic! Dude get this game its worth its money for its multiplayer alone
Civ 3 - Older but addicting...hard to explain... its good though ask anybody whos gotten the hang of the game

I like your post ... cheers to the addiction!!
I like the cartoonish graphics as well. But it isn't something I had to get used to like some. Always favored traditional animation over CGI when it came to animated features. Any other Disney fans willing to comment? (recent mediocre Disney movies aside)
read a post from a level 40 priest saying if you wanted to solo invest in the shadow talent tree. the healing tree isn't that great unless you party all the time.
Playing the stress test as a priest, I only got to 18th level. Soloing wasn't that bad... there were times that monsters of the same level would whoop me. I think that the Priest is the weakest offensive class in the game and you must remember that when playing one. I really enjoyed the Priest class... I will play it again.

Don't you worry little buddy. You're dealing with a man of honor. However, honor requires a higher percentage of profit

CoD is pretty good. I still like Battlefield Vietnam for an all time favorite war FPS. CoD has a very weak MP compared to BF:VN.
My $0.02

It's a priest, not like you're a warrior.
I've been reading a lot about a priest, still don't know if I want to do it... Mage or Priest...
