I just reread the whole cyber and there are some REALLY funny points:
1.) When he invites her in to private chat and the screenshot of them both being in their underwear. LMAO! That's freaking classic.
2.) The GM is typing away when the player tells him he just cybered with a guy. The GM is in the middle of typing a pretty graphic line of text and doesn't yet realize it's a guy.
3.) When the players types "This is SPARTA!!!!" - Classic
This is one of the funniest things I've read in a long time. Not only is this a legal liability for Funcom but it's hilarious at the same time. I cringe to think how lonely that GM must be to cyber with a virtual male avatar.
I'm on Doomsayer as well. The OPjust went up a few notches in my cool book. HAHAHAH!
To the other person who replied in the GM's defense:
"SOCIALIZING"??
You are a simpleton if you think the GM was not getting all hot and bothered.
The GMs in this game already have a bad reputation for being extremely unprofessional and mental.
"Tear off his panties" and "f***" him? Yeah, great socializing.
I don't know what games you play, but that's just flipped. I want my GM to be friendly but not going on a nuts one milking themselves. We pay money to get customer service. Not this. Although I have to admit it is one of the more entertaining things to happen in the game in the past month.

Updated: Funcom employee crossed the line with player.
Lately Funcom and Age of Conan have been in hard weather, with a decreasing number of players and discontented users. Now, a player reveals having cybersex with a Funcom employee ingame.
Started out as innocent
It all began when the player summoned one of the game's Game Masters. Normally you summon a Game Master, also known as a GM, when experiencing technical problems ingame. This player, however, wanted more from the GM, and initiated a conversation of a very different nature.
(then follow some of the conversation as seen in the ss)
It all evolved to a reasonable kinky situation. The player was teleported to the GM where both chose to undress. The conversation became more and more coarse till the player revealed to have set up the GM, stating the popular statement "This is Sparta!".
Funcom aware of the incident
This is, as expected, not acceptable behaviour for a GM. The guidelines of a Game Master's is to maintain any given game's rules, and make sure that everything is carried out by the book. Cybersex is not part of the job description.
-- We are aware of this matter, and necessary measures have been taken against them. We have clear guidelines for all employees in Funcom, not least those who work with customer service, and if the guidelines are broken there are consequences, says Funcom's Erling Ellingsen to ITavisen.
He also says that conversations of this nature is a violation of the their GM's guidelines.
Sacked
Updated: Funcom tells ITavisen that the GM is no longer working in Funcom.
-- This kind of behaviour is not accepted by Funcom, says Erling Ellingsen.
Wow..he got fired becausee of some low-life sick perv piece of shit led him into cybering.
These forums are sick. You pathetic haters disgust me (it's unprofessional, yes, but this is at people laughing because he lost his job). The fact that you laugh at a guy losing his job, who was framed and led into it, it just one of the lowest things I have ever seen. Are you THAT screwed up by losing $50 that you hate Funcom enough for people to lose their jobs?! It's rediculous.
I still can't believe no one got on the OP yet, after all he acted like to girl to cyber with a guy. If that's not low I don't know what is.
..sorry for language, this bothers me.

Umm framed? me thinks you've watched too many "Dateline NBC : To Catch a Predator" and scream at the TV "Don't go in it's a trap!!".
This whole exchange reminds me of the guy who was trying to auction his AoC GM account right around Early Access, once again proof you you can't perform any kind of Customer Service with Volunteers.

Are you the type that blames the rape victim for dressing to sexy? Anyway this is spun the gm was flat out wrong. If you in anyway support the gm, well, I just feel sorry for you.
I think it is a commentary on gamers and the game officials about how consuming an mmorpg can be. Just how much it can be substituted for real life that someone would choose to have "cybersex" with another person in game.
That being said, why don't we get the professional game correspondents to comment on this?

Framed? Bwahahaha. I wish I could cyber at work, get caught doing it, and then get to keep my job but I live in this little place called reality. Are you saying that GM's should be allowed to do anything theyw ant while on duty?
Questions of who initiated what etc. are irrelevant. So is any hoo-ha about sex.
Even if it's only a game, GMs occupy positions of power and they're expected to exercise it without any prejudice or favouritism.
If they start receiving benefits of any kind from players, that compromises any claim to impartiality.
That's the core issue - he may as well as have taken money from a player. The GM was stupid.
I wouldn't quite liken this to the situation where teachers and students end up in bed - the degree and nature of power imbalance in that kind of relationship is far more serious.

Dude you have got to be kidding right? The GM cybered with a player while logged onto his GM account. It was an obvious decision to fire said GM. Case closed.
i dont see the problem. so what if a gm wanted to cyber. it wasnt on public chat so it did not offend anyone...
Firstly, GM's are representatives of Funcom & it creates a very bad unprofessional image.
Secondly, Players who are annoyed about the time it takes for their petitions to be resolved will now always wonder whether the delay is caused by the GMs constantly 'goofing off' or worse.
Thirdly & most importantly, despite the game's age rating there is no way that the GM could be sure that the other player wasn't a minor & that he was therefore potentially breaking the law.
In my opinion, as long as it is between consenting adults on their own time, people can get up to whatever they like & it is no-one else's business, but this is just an unnacceptable way for an official representative to behave. GMs are supposed to set an example to other players, but not one of this sort.
If you can't "Have your cake & eat it too", then how can "The proof of the pudding be in the eating"?

Tecmo Bowl.
LoL, well it really did not suprise me with the bad customer support and all.
According to itavisen.no, the GM has been fired from his position in Funcom.
Haha! Now I know what GMs are doing thanks to the low server populations nowadays. xD
How low can ya go
Hahah, oh wow
Any Norwegian speaking fellow out here care to be the hero of the day and translate the article?
This post has made someone lose their job. That's the definition of an epic post. And the GM deserves it, he should cyber with men on his own time.
Hahahahahahahahahah!

That GM should be fired for improper conduct.
If you did this in a office while on the clock you would be fired in a heartbeat.
If he wants to cyber have him do it on his own time. Not on a GM account.
Funcom is consistantly showing big time unprofessionalism.
I would hate to be one of their investors.

And he was. Interesting topic.
