More false information. Tasos showed two videos. One was from over a year ago and the other was the sites and cities scripted camera flying around from a few months ago and neither are anywhere remotely near being "unbelievable".
This is what happens when you give countries who know absolutely nothing about video games an interview.
Now I know why Tasos chooses to do interviews only in Greece now. Because no where else in the world would anyone be impressed by the outdated crap he brings along with him to Demo Darkfall with.
Is this the first time Neocron has been mentioned in relation to Darkfall? After seven years? Maybe it was supposed to remain secret. Actually, it probably does give the game's release more credibility in a way. It makes it more likely this group of inexperienced developers could come up with something in seven years. I thought that previously the impression was given that they were building Darkfall from scratch?
It's complete bullshit. Darkfall was started by 3-4 guys in Norway in an apartment. They had nothing to do with Neocron.

I don't mean that they had anything to do with Neocron. I think we'd know if they had experience in developing MMOs. But they could have bought the code. I can't see why else it would be mentioned. But then everything about Darkfall is shrouded in mystery.

The question is of course, did the developers of Neocron or any other MMO ever seriously “look” at Aventurine as a possible publisher to be involved with around late 2002 apart from Razorwax.
I think the answer to that question is obvious, just another claim made by Tasos to make Aventurine look more credible, which he only claimed at a Greek conference, amongst many other things, because he thought we would not find out about it.

All we are getting are short mentions of Tasos’s presentation at the Greek developers conference which was already fully covered by GameWorld.gr over a month ago, with all the same mistakes repeated.
Nothing “exclusive” and no interviews with magazines yet, and still nothing that can even be conceivably considered as “mainstream” as of yet, 4 ½ months from launch.
Pathetic.
And I agree, the recent apparent concentration on the Greek market is troubling, it indicates to me that Tasos appears only to be confident enough in Darkfall to “sell” it domestically so far.
Or even worse, at this stage, it’s the only possible place left for him to “sell” Darkfall.
Either way it would be a significant indication of the real quality of this title if it continues.

For the same reason they're not allowed to use "Darkfall" as the title in the States. Because it is already used by someone else. So basically, these guys can't even think of original names for their projects, they just use everyone elses. We've now got Neocron and Darkfall. I bet they come out with a processing program named "Word" next.
Hey guys ,as we all figured out the content of this article is not new or correct.
To my knowledge its a sum of the old info we knew gameworld.gr carrying the same mistakes and inacurracies.
Certainly not an interview.
Also i removed the images cause there might be copyright infrictions and i do not want to get in trouble.
I also sent an e-mail to the reporters of the magazine so they can correct the info and maybe come to the official forums and discuss the article with us.
I want also to make a comment here,although its a bad write up ,the darkfall project has got some publicity here in greece.
Greek pc master and Games magazine have mentioned it in they issues and i believe that this is for the best for the game.I also strongly believe that the game will release this year.
We just have to wait and see,waiting is what we are used too btw.

So Tasos told them that one of those videos have not ever been shown? HAHA. I feel sorry for all those investors they have been scamming over the years.
maybe this is a dumb question but how exactly do you (we?) know what trailers tasos showed these magazine people in the interview...? perhaps he showed them the trailer (or an incomplete version) of the video that is supposd to be released this month?

They wrote about the GGDC (Greek Game Developers Conference) like the other greek magazine (PC Master), just a shorter version filled with mistakes. Soo interview should be out at 26th September.

The way the Greek mag talks about Darkfall you'd think it was representing them in Bejing or something. Very nationalistic and not at all subjective. Nor is there any information. 'The unbelievable job the programmers have done' is hardly telling us anything. Do any fanboys still think we're going to see a release in 2008? I mean, really? And then what? Another year of denial?

Like I said magazines might hold off putting stories in due to whenever the best timing will be. There has also been a writeup in PC Master of greece also. Nothing much just the same sht from the conference.
And considering everything from the conference was the same shit everyone saw and new already over a year ago it makes all of this completely USELESS as usual.
