We here at MMORPG.com are saddened to inform our readers that former Community Manager Laura "Taera" Genender passed away on August 13th.
Laura, who was a long time volunteer with our site before becoming our Community Manager, had recently taken a job working on EVE Online for CCP.
Needless to say, Laura was a cherished co-worker and a beloved friend to all of us here at MMORPG.com. We miss her already.
Tomorrow, MMORPG.com will honor her memory by way of a posted memorial to a dear friend.
Cheers,

Jon, has there been any word on what happened?
*gasp* im lost for words right now...my prayers go out to her family and everyone here that knew her well.
No, I'm not entirely sure to be honest. I'm sure we will find out in time.

A sad day indeed. God bless Laura's family and those who knew her.
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Okay, it's not really important to know right now. It's just someone of her age and apparent vigor passing kinda kicks my brain for a loop. I just pray it was peaceful, whatever the reason.
As us, Prayers & comfort thoughts to her family & friends
for her life; helping others with her heart. She will be missed. Her Spirit lives in those she touched in the time she graced us with her presence.

Don't know what to say really. She will be missed & she was taken away way too early from us.
RIP Laura.
?
She will be missed.
This is very sad. She seemed like a great person, and it's sad to see someone pass away so soon.
RIP Laura, you will not be forgotten.

May she RIP. God bless her.
RIP Laura, you will be missed. Hope you're in a better place.
I hope whatever took her from us was peaceful.
WHY!? Laura was the reason I joined MMORPG.COM! She was SUCH a dedicated community manager, keeping MMORPG.com active, doing everything a CM should! May she so rest in peace.
I am sorry to hear of this passing. I don't know individual names that well for my gaming information but remember hers. She added to my life and many others but I pray for her family, close friends and colleagues that are dealing with this sudden loss.
R.I.P laura,
My Thoughts are with her family at this time.
If someone had came up to me in 1980 when I was on my Atari 2600 and said we will be playing games with thousands of people at the same time.I guess my response would have been,"but I only have 2 joysticks"

Very sad news,
Bless you Taera, God speed to a better place.
I'm totally shocked.
Though I wasn't fond on how she ran things, I'd never wish anything ill of her.
RIP Laura, you will be missed.
