This makes me sad. It's probably a good thing since I have been playing way too much for a beta. I can't wait till this goes gold.

even though I have been enjoying the Beta WAY more then I have ever enjoyed an released MMO I still think it is a good idea to pull the plug for now.
Check your mail, you may get have a invite to the TEST SERVERS that are up.
Apparently there is a NDA for Test Servers at this point as well, if I read their information right.

Damn. Glad I actually got to get a taste of the Beta before it went down.
yep very sad. I have today off, but not this weekend.
Everything creates huge amounts of negativity on the internet, that's what the internet is for: Negativity, porn and lolcats.
if you live in the United States, go to your local Best Buy and pickup a copy of the SE Preorder ($10.00) it does count towards your purchase of the game when it is released and you get into Open Beta.
And if your a warhammer taple top fan, you get also a pack of WAR cards with the SE Preorder.
I wonder if our characters will still be there.
LOL i set the beta client download as i went off to work today to come back to the beta being closed down.. LOL
Oh well from what i have read the combat is still too slow and the world has no soul so never mind.. i might pick it up when the trial comes out. (note, just my opinion)
May want to try it before you go on others opinions. The combat is not as fast as WoW, as in you don't die in 2 hits, but it's the right speed to be fun. You get a chance to do something, but it's not too hard to take someone down.
So based on all of the good reviews, and bad reviews you picked out of the bad reviews (the minority by far) some information and without ever playing the game or forming your own opinion you use that data to form and back an opinion of your own (which really isn't your own opinion since you took it from someone else).
Add in the fact that you have posted information stating you were in WAR beta or had played in it meaning you were lying since you now are basing this on things read, and the fact that you are the biggest Blizzard/WotLK fan I have ever seen and you will understand why I think you are being a little bit funny?
Don't get me wrong though. I wet my pants every time I visit the Diablo III website, and I have loved every Blizzard game ever made besides WoW.
on a lighter note...i have TR and ryzom i can try out...since TR i got a come back for free till the 31st, and free Ryzom....hopefully this can stave off my war addiction for now
Ryzom is greatness. I am on the trial Island though and all capped out. I wonder if I can get off of it yet...

Sorry my bad. I guess it depends on what slow is to you? The only MMO I can think of that is faster is.. WoW. I think it is a much more strategic combat system than WoW though, and to me combat isn't slow at all. It is a great combat system especially when compared to all of the other MMO's on the market. Were you expecting WoW 2.0? This is more DaOC 2.0 and for many that was the greatest combat system in an MMO ever. Like you said though just your opinion and just mine. I am glad you have WotLK coming out so we both have something we love to play.
As fast as WoW is 90% of the combat is crowd control. You have no idea how thankful I am that there is no CC in WAR.

Check that out. They were allowing new accounts for a short time. If it's too late I bet it will be very soon that they open it up for all. I would let you use my account but it is also my wifes and we still play it especially with WAR beta being off.
Ryzom is free I think. You can just go to their site and download the client/make a trial island account.
