That's what I think of when I think of Warhammer, and that pains me, because after AoC failed me, even after I tried so hard to accept it, Warhammer remained my last shard of hope for the near future, however, I am not impressed with what I've seen.
honestly if you are not in the beta i can truly understand where you are coming from with you not being impressed with what you have seen.
if you are in beta and still feel so, email mytic, more so email a letter for paul barrnet (yes he does get the emails, or an intern reads them for him) and tell them why you are not impressed.
it has been know in beta that even if 10 people think something could be done better they will try and make it great.
I was in beta, I've uninstalled. And it's not a BAD game...I think my biggest issue was I couldn't find a class I enjoyed, and something, just didn't feel right.
I want to make clear, I'm not bashing the game, plenty of people are praising the beta and excited about release, but it just didn't pull me in.

Then you didn't look hard enough. Either that or you prefer pve or guild based pvp. Warhammer is all about the rvr baby.
If your looking for PVE go to WoW, Lord of the Rings online, or FFXI.
If your looking for Guild based pvp, I don't really know cause I've hated that style since Shadowbane even though I gave Age of Conan a try.
If your looking for RvR (Army vs Army) go to Dark Ages of Camelot or Warhammer Online.
Yes I think warhammer is great, but its got its problems also, not many though.
Hate to double post, but I didn't really see the RvR, maybe I didn't get far enough, but the first time I queued up and ended up in what might as well have been Arathi Basin from WoW, I rolled my eyes and left. Maybe I shoud fire it back up. I don't know if I would enjoy it though because they removed the 2 classes I was stoked about. I really was looking forward to the Choppa and the Blackgaurd.
And to Noggin, about my previous post of not playing, that was back in April, I got in around the time the guild access started.
All this hype is making me want to go see what I missed out on, though. I didn't get that epic exciting feeling when I played. Who knows, maybe release will feel better to me.
What are we talking about when we are saying combat is slow? The 2 sec global cooldown? How long fights can last? Our attack speed? Or whats the problem???
What are we talking about when we are saying combat is slow?
The Animation is slow the combat is slow in term of how long it takes to down something.
The 2 sec global cooldown?
I haven't noticed that global, but that shouldn't be the issue ATM.
How long fights can last?
Most fights I've done in 1v1 have last a few moments to mins depends on what the other guys class
Our attack speed?
Not sure its the attack speed, but i have state before the animation in War seems very Stiff. Stiff = Slow to me.
Or whats the problem???
All MMO's have grinds. If you don't like to Grind then MMO's are not for you.

They really went all out making tanks be tanks. While they can take a hit, combat with them is PAINFUL in the beginning, I couldn't stick out a Black Orc past level 3.
Did you read my whole reply to your last comment? I posted the thread you linked on April 12, I got into beta around the time guild access started, which was July IIRC. I got into beta AFTER I complained about not getting in.

I see that now. My bad.
No worries. I am actually downloading the client again to give it another go, maybe this time I can get into it. I still can't figure out exactly what I didn't like, maybe I just need more time. I can't find any other game to play at the moment, so who know, maybe I can sink my teeth in.

Scenarios are not RVR, they are like WoW battlegrounds. RvR is the huge red cirlced areas of the maps where your leveling area and the enemy's leveling area overlap. It's where your entire army fights the other sides entire army in open world over objectives and keeps, later on using siege equipment in higher tiers. Eventually in the highest tier fighting your way right into the enemy capital city. The RvR part of city siege btw is not instanced but the PvE raiding that comes as a reward for capturing the city is.
What are we talking about when we are saying combat is slow? It's hard to describe. It's one of those things that someone can try to tell you why, but you don't really understand until you see it for yourself. I will try to point out a few areas that, to me, make the combat boring and not fun. 1. You can only use 1 skill every 2 seconds. This leads to very slow combat considering auto-attacks almost never happen due to the way they work. That means, on max, you are hitting once every 2 seconds (or longer if your attack has a build up). It's like fighting under water. 2. Attack animations are slow to perform. Again, it feels like you are fighting under water. The 2 sec global cooldown? Yes. How long fights can last? That too. Our attack speed? Yep. Or whats the problem??? All of the above.
"There is as yet insufficient data for a meaningful answer."

Green part: Actually, it is. There's a max of people you can have vs. each other in the RvR city siege part. Once that cap is hit, it opens up a new instance of the RvR siege.
