Yep, the closed beta players are now playing on the open beta servers that are still closed to open beta players, so in effect the open beta is closed beta atm.. hope this sums it up
basicly they shut everything down and if u didnt know told us our old accounts are useable so we are wiating for the traffic we filled the servers with to get throu then with all the major hype and most of the testers pissed of the traffic will prolly be like 50% less so we should get stuff sorted and if they stil lhave register bugs or cant handle the traffic i think EA should find new people next time round

So I just got my authentication e-mail, after 5 hours waiting. So can I actually authenticate my account while the servers are down? Since when I click it, all it does it take me to the WAR website, obviously can't log in since servers are down. So getting this e-mail has helped me how? What do I do after I get it and servers is up.

they set the date as today. so even if broken they have to put it up befor they go home so even if we cant get to the beta maybe we can get our codes sorted for tomorow

they have put and failed many dates today.. maybe they need new blood there cos the staff they got atm isnt clearly able to do anything to sort the issues.
Bad planning [ they should have done this weeks ago not now ] + dumb staff = killer situation really.

During this maintenance we are processing all queued account registrations and key authentications. These services will be available as soon as this work is complete. "

Apparently they're clearing the backlog now, I received my activation email about 10 minutes after the announcement.
Shame the authentification insn't working now so I can't do squat anyways....
