I don't know whats more boring, watching that video or reply to this thread. Seriously though, that quest didn't really seem any different than any other quest in WoW. Woot you jump from bird to bird killing them it seems. Go quest in LOTRO, its got this beat ten fold. To be honest, it looked boring. And the only thing WAr needs to learn from Blizzard, is to not cater to poeple like you. People who thinki creating brainless threads will make people quit playing a game. Cmon, we know you didn't post this thread to show how great both games could be.
ok ok maybe "best quest ever" was a little over the top.. But honestly have you see that sort of mechanic in any other MMO? its new and expect to see it in future MMO's.
Blizzard new vechical mechanic is looking good, theres a video of a 2 players on a single mount, 1 running the mount through the forest the other sat on the back throwing bombs at wolvers chasing.
It does look cool jumping from dragon to dragon and flying around. But still its just the same thing over and over again. But the music was good, I loved Zelda 2.
for a quest it looks fun what other mmo has you jumping on the back of dragons lol
Looks like an interesting twist for a Quest. I thought the jumping was neat, but I found the parts where he used what looked like a Sickle Chain (Like the thing Link uses in Zelda;OOT) to be far cooler looking. Nice video OP.
In War - Victory. In Peace - Vigilance. In Death - Sacrifice.
Being in the beta the quest is fun, that said i hate when people say its the same thing over and over again, questing is the same in every mmo so its the same over and over again in every mmo. I know people will run here and scream at me but a quest is a quest and eventually you'll end up repeating them over and over.

I watched the video and sure it was fun to watch. I am curious though where is the challenge in these games? Is it possible to not "win" the quest? To me it appears the monsters do very little damage and he is just mowing through them.
the weird thing about this post is that when i opened it to read it, behind in another window a whole blizzard entertainment window opened without me doing it myself.
looked fun, looked like a rogue doing that up close combat fighting. Just one question..
Hows a mage supposed to jump on the back of those dragons, and fight? Or is it spose to ride and shoot ranged till the guy falls off THEN jump over? Cause hed be toast trying to melee like that guy
Cool battle for a melee type, kinda ho hum if youre a ranged dps I would think, just shooting the mob off, then jumping on a empty mount. Not so cool as that vid I would think...

I have quested in LOTRO and I found it REALLY boring. All MMO games have shallow quests. Give me an example of a great LOTRO quest.
Now that's what I'm talking about. Let's take a game scene from God of War and implement that into WoW. And this is why Blizzard wins brownie points, that looks like the perfect quest for a melee class.
WoW being a grindfest is laughable. I remember the days of EQ and UO, you litteraly had to plan out a good portion of the day to get to level 10. Leveling in WoW is a breeze compared to old days of MMO's and Korean MMO's. Complaing that this is a grindfest is silly.
I've been done with WoW for a while, but I have to admit, that looks pretty cool.
The only downside is, the other 15 quests that are are almost exactly the same as that one. Of course I don't know that for sure, but that's usaully the case with WoW. It's nothing but do the same thing over and over again. BC introduced a new type of quest, just as that, and it really isn't much different from that. I'm sure you WoW players know what I'm talking about, where you ride around in circles on your bird or whatever and throw bombs down at these mechanisms. So, unfourtunately, I still won't be buying this expansion.
Well blizzard cant come up with some original ideas, the whole thing was ripped from God Of War... and it looks soo repetive and boring, sure the first 2-3 times it's fun but then it gets repetive.
They should actualy bother working on original ideas rather then ripping off everything blatently and claiming it as their own.

Them copying a good idea is a bad thing because...??
Looks booring as hell to be honest, pay attention to the video and youll notice that he always lands on the dragons with no effort what so ever. So it really is a case of automatically jump to dragon, kill easy mob, jump to next dragon kill easy mob etc
I would agree with it being a good quest if it was like a platformer where you aim your jumps trying to land on the different platforms, right now it just looks like a very simplistic kill x quest where you stand on a drake and get catapalted to the next drake with no chance of failure.
It is probably like the bombing quests fun the first time, completly meh afterwards.

I'd have to admit that's rather sweet.

Jumping on dragons looks illogical, but fun!

God of Warcraft, anyone?

It's from one of the Legend of Zelda games, I forgot the track though. It's in Super Mash Brothers Brawl - but this version is remixed.

This does look fun and interesting for a quest. At least they are trying new stuff out.
