not to put WoW down whatsoever.....
but have u been on their official forums?
People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.
FFXI doesnt even have an official forum.
Lying in bed, looking up at the stars, a single thought passed through my head. Where the fuc|{ is my roof.

sorry u had a bad experience guy,but you will never find the perfect game, cus i know i been around most all the games. For the most part they are all much the same in there ideas.Every game will be the same, you will have cool people, immature people and in between people ,that will never change. My personal experience has found this game to have less whining and childplay than most others i have tried.
I have said it before in another post.........most gamers are followers or hype absorbers as i like to call them. They meerly follow there friends to whatever games they like,or indulge into games that build themselves up with massive hype.If you fall into either of these 2 categories ,you take a great risk of hating or not liking a game.I myself have an idea what i look for in a game ,and doesnt take me anymore than a couple of days to determine if a game is right or not.So what i am saying,is don't just dive into WOW because its a top hype game, try browsing different game forums, and learning as much about a game before u join it.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
heh..immature, have you tried ANY and I mean ANY Free MMORPG? they are full of "Immature people" just like the WoW forums( not That I don't like WoW, I actually love it but the forums are just way too much)

Heh, i'm a .hack fan too
Now about this topic... The only immature people i've met was two mithras talking out loud about their private sex life. I thought it was kinda funny... oh well. Maybe you were out of luck.
WoW comes at the end of this year/beginning of next.
About that FFXI don't have a forum. Everyone uses http://www.ffxionline.com or their LS homepage.
I havent noticed very much immature players, only time was when PS2 noobies came in, but I think most of them left when they figured out it wasnt traditional ff series.
EQ2 Qeynos Guild- http://www.imperium-arcanum.com
I quit FFXI too. Got bored when i had to sit around waiting 2 hours for a party only to join a noob party and ending up dying and losing another lvl.. That probably doesn't happen to everyone but it happened to me ALL the time.. and since i couldn't lvl my subjob no high lvl wanted me in their party and eventually I gave it all up.... I'm only hoping WoW wont be the same in the leveling apartment. Can't wait for the EU release

People always have bad experiences with MMORPGs and getting parties. We all have to live with it. Not every one in the game is THAT smart. I honestly run into these type of problems a lot in my experience, and if something like that happens, I just try to do something else other than lvling for a bit. Quests are also good to do, whether they are the repeatable ones or ones that help with gil, it is always good to do something. That is the beauty of MMORPG's, there is more to do than just lvl like normal single player offline games.
You should try to take advantage of all these different things that FFXI has to offer. LS's sometimes have some fun events. As for me, our LS had a race from Windy to Jeuno with a jack pot prize (which was quite nice). Even thought the community is not as strong as in other MMORPG's, getting to know people around the games is really great. People seem to be helpful when you need it. Give it a chance and try something else within the game.
It's not a bug in the software, it's a feature .
