Hmmm, was there a part stating only 90's bands are allowed? If not then I'd say two of my favorite (and more mainstream rock) would have to be all the old stuff by Sham 69, Their newer CD is good, but it just doesn't compare to the old ones. And The Clash, altho they play a handful different genres, their Singles Collection is a good CD, also Give 'em Enough Rope and London Calling are awsome.

dude malkavian, that is some of the weirdest stuff i have ever heard, not bad just different. to the original poster, try slipknot, fear factory, sevendust, ill nino, hatebreed, system of a down, linkin park (one of my favorites), soulfly, drowning pool, incubus, the list could go on. thats just a few you can try out.

I'm not a "general type rock person", I'm more of the gothic type. So if you wan't, check out these gothic rock bands:
Type O Negative, Dargaard, Battlelore, and Moonspell
I'm pretty confident in my taste of music...If you want you can check these bands out...Their a tad on the heavy side though...
