Personaly I just can't do UO any more played for 9 years alot of that was on siege and with DarkFall comming out I wont be lol was fun and I'll miss alot of it but hopefully DF will be just as good in it's own way.

  • could never go back because....

    1. they should of never messed introduced trammel

    2. combat became item based

    3. a lot of the newer content was geared for a more casual crowd

    4. they ruined what i though was going to remain a perfect game forever.

It's so depressing to come here, read these things, and not be able to tell people where to go to find EXACLTY what they're missing.

Way to many changes with the stat gains, graphics, etc ..but if they ever decided to make a old server I'd probably try it again... I say go all the way back to when we had no banks and a mule was your best friend then we'll see who really is hardcore.

I do not consider UO to be a sandbox since they introduced Trammel.

I had to settle with the private shards due to the fact that I had a 56K and did not live in the US.

I would have liked to have played the EA shards - meh,  always figured that I would alyways have had the same character because of my romantic notion that EA never did world wipes.

Sigh, I miss my GM mage with the two keeps on the prime island that led to... somewhere in... one of the expansion lands, can't remember where, but there were nightmares - did I mention that I also rode one? ... sobs.

I don't THINK UO runs on Vista, does it?

Sadly, upon buying a new computer, I was confronted with the fact that ALL new computers come with Vista, if you want XP, you have to pay 200 dollars more to GET it now.  (And before all the geeks start saying, "Why didn't you build your own?"  Not EVERYONE can do that, ya know?)

If you can tell me UO runs on Vista.....omg.....I WILL probably load that baby up again.  I DO miss it, and I didn't get to play nearly long enough.  I also remember that the new graphics version of UO was very very buggy even on XP.  Have they ironed some of that out yet?  (I'm speaking of Kingdom Reborn.)

Now that is a hoot, Darkfall coming out?  What leads you to believe that they actually have a game?  Never been reviewed by any known game journalist, never been seen by the public.  The only thing we have is a couple videos, which are easily faked.

This is the true "I will believe it when I see it" scenario.

As to UO, forgot the password on my old account and I cannot retrieve it since the registered email I used is no longer available.

    1) AGREE

    2) AGREE

    3) I resent that being a casual, UO had enough content for appease all sides.

    4) AGREE

I can never go back mainly because of the first two.... ultimately making UO what number 4 was.

Imagine if they had the old school open pvp ruleset, I would run wild looking for them hackers/exploiters and just kill them.

So here is a poll for you..

Problem for me on UO is the fact they killed the pvp. Unsplit the world, keep statloss gone, bring back the original ruleset, and you will see many folks come back

    Hells yeah...........

I played the game when it was released.  That original ruleset was the best.. The first year of UO was awesome.  Two worlds (trammel)  and guys running around as samurai's with purple and blue hair............... LOL  WTF

For me it's because Uo has now strayed from the path of the great little Medievle sandbox MMO it was in the Ultima lore universe. So many silly things have been added now that the world doesn't feel like a day in the life of Britannia any more and more like The Sims. It's Ultima in name only now.
