    Well obviously I didn’t think anyone would believe me, but the actual truth is - yes I am in the "beta" and yes, the "beta" is not an actual beta; it’s more like a small open space where we test inventory, movement and stuff... We are only about 40 testers in it...

    Allright, I dont know why Khaelsan is writing me in Danish, but ill keep it in the english department, for everyones sake... He asked me which specs my computer has, and the answer is AMD64 Athlon Processor at 3000+, around 1.99 GHz

    ATI Radeon Xpress 200 at 128 MB

    384 MB of RAM

     

    The game runs pretty okay with these "modest" specs... The big problem is server performance, not so much computer hardware...

    I guess it's because you both speak danish, and it is easier to communicate in your first language :)

     

    Isn't it almost always serverside performance that's the problem ? That is just my experience.

    Since you are mostly doing small testing (Inventory etc.) do you believe it is ready for CB yet ?

    3. Supposedly feature complete, but didn't show all that many features in the video.  I know it's a PvP game, that's the main focus, but don't say you have more features but only show 1 or 3...

Nobody in beta.  Well, no one talking about it.  One thing the PvP community is known for is cheating.  Anything to gain an advantage of the opponent is good.  Duping, super jumping, teleporting.. anything.  With the lack of Beta information means .. even if they start an open beta (and by open, I mean upping the beta to 20k people) enough to break it and cheat.. no everything or anything possible.  Well, 3 months isn't enough time.

    I'm not a "this is vaporware" kind of guy, I'm just looking at the facts.  I think The Darkfall Team made a mistake by saying it's releasing this year (to build hype).. They should have just announced when they started open beta.  Until then, Darkfall is just a dream that.. well.. won't be out this year.

    Dude most of those things are known outside the Beta and don't pertain to the Beta. Am I violating the NDA I didn't sign for the beta I didn't apply for and am not in by discussing them? I mean come on talking about pre-orders is a violation of the NDA? Darkfall isn't offering pre orders. The developers have said that. Are they violating the NDA?  Here's gross violation of the NDA.

     

    The developers have said they would rather not  have pre orders because they want people to try the game before buying it.

    There you go. Send the NDA police to arrest me.  I'll be at work all day. Just ask the CIA where that is I'm sure they know. Maybe they'll even give you a ride in a black helecopter.

    I can honestly say that, if this is "all they have" then its NOT ready for anything, BUT they have said a couple of times that they have a new build coming, that should bring the game to tier 2 (which is CB stage)...

    Have you actually played the game ? I mean:

     - Picked up a quest

     - killed something

     - finished the quest

     - turned in the quest

     

    Or is the usuability so limited that it is actually not playable yet ?

    I have some questions

    What size is the client

    Is there a character generation, if so what’s it like

    What is the maximum number of testers that have been logged on

    What fps are you getting in different situations

    What is the UI like

    What is combat like

    What are the skills and spells like

    How many crashes are you getting

    Whats the network / server performance like, hows the lag

    How long is this phase expected to last and how many people are expected to be allowed in for it

    What exactly can you do in the test area is it very limited?

    Are their any NPCs or mobs in the test area

    Is crafting possible if so can you describe it

    Can you take some screen shots and host them

    Does the current game look like a beta you would expect for a game that is launching in under 3 months.

    What is the developer feedback like for the community’s suggestions and bug reporting

    Khael I've read enough of your posts to know you aren't that dumb. 

     

    He's in an empty space testing out inventory? Are you kidding me? Over a year with paid testers and they're testing inventory and he's talking about "they might get a new build" and tier 2 and etc. He doesn't know enough about the purpose of the hardware test OR the game mechanics to even lie appropriately.

    As I said before, we are constrained to small open space, the testing is not live 24/7. it is seperated into different areas, such as fighting, interaction, chatting and stuff... Right now the only races we have been allowed to play is the orks and humans...

     I'm going to keep posting in this thread because you couldn't run pacman on the onboard notebook card from 2004 you're claiming to be running the game on. If you don't get better at lying your mommy's gonna find out all your secretz with her prying questions.
