Magstax is a troll.
No MMORPG I've ever seen has a menu which is located in the game. I've played quite a few. MMORPG's always have a direct client login, intended for patching purposes.
The pictures he posted contain obvious signs of overstretching an image. The developers, no matter what, would obviously have the original versions of the images, which wouldn't show signs of being stretched from side to side.
Whether using Photoshop, Paint of whatever, it would take five minutes or less to make the pictures which Magstax posted. Please, if you're going to fake a picture, don't try to make it look like a three year old got some paper and scissors.
The comment "I'm here to tell the truth" is an overused comment, to get people to buy the lies he's here to sell. He wants attention, but tries to hide it.
In conclusion: I see that the vaportrolls have stooped very low. To be honest, it is quite scary to see some people acting in so obsessive manner about trolling Darkfall.
No offense intended here but i could have made that screen myself using photoshop 7 and i class myself as a novice with that programme making mainly my own avatars and sigs.. the picture could be downloaded anywhere and the text input via text input on pretty much ANY picture editing programme.
people asking for certain screenshots i believ would be more content and happy with a screenshot of the Launchpad (every MMO uses one in some form)

cheers m8, the main image is actually the small 200x200 pixel logo for the game (probably taken from the site but i got through yahoo image search, it's stretched a little bigger, placed onto a plain black background (1024x768) text added for the loading, then a small section selected and painted dark red, the a lighter red overlay done on part of it.. 3-4 minutes to make, 1 minute to find the base logo image.. i actually posted my last post then made the pic, time difference between original post and edit time says it all.
Well, its been confirmed. Magstax is indeed a troll and has been giving false information throughout the entire thread. Tasos just posted the below in a thread in the news section of the DFO forums (forums.darkfallonline.com/showthread.php). So, yea, he photoshop'd the screens and his descriptions were BS. Granted, anyone who's been even remotely following DFO should have known this. His descriptions were vague and could apply to any MMO beta and contradicted some basic design principles of the game. So, yea, he's just "trying to tell the truth"
Bogus Beta Information

Predictably there are several claims of Darkfall Beta participation. We won't be addressing these posts in the future, this is just a general reminder.
We'll state the obvious: the posts we've seen so far on this are bogus and the information contained in them has nothing to do with reality.
Please be very skeptical about subscribing to claims of participation in Darkfall beta. This is a very large community and this kind of disinformation can be exploited only if you're paying attention to it.

As said with the game before, graphics are not the best but there seems so much variance in what you can do, and not the regular cookie cutter mmo.

no, that's not bogus. that's the trailer they just recently released. the bogus part was the idiot in this thread claiming to be in beta and spewing out obvious false statements about the game and then creating bogus screenshots in photoshop

I remember reading 1000 times where Downtoearth and Aragon told us the game WAS in closed beta since 2007. Am i missing something here?
They constantly reminded everyone that this game WAS fully functional, completely tested and ready for prime time.
Those were NOT my words so don't blame me.
The question is simply this. Is the game ready or isn't it? Has it been in actual professional tested closed beta since 2007 or hasn't it?

We're talking about open hardware beta. Everything else is done, they're just picking among the thousands of different systems to make sure bugs are worked out. The closed professional test has beeng going on since 2007, yes, and the game has been feature complete for a while. That's why this troll was rather alarming (and obviously trolling), as his claims were way off base with what we know.
No, you need proper testers, for a proper closed beta. Something which AoC didn't have. Aventurine isn't going to make the same mistake.
You know it, the best way to realize your dreams is waking up and start moving, never lose hope and always keep up.
:sigh: I'll say it again, Tasos debunked this guy. The guy is full of crap and, no, he's not in beta.
