Us professional gamers don't use Xfire... I would never run an uneeded service to help in degrading my gaming rigs performance. I got this bitch tuned and running like a 440 Hemi. That would be like me buying the cheap gas to put in my car, not going to happen. Im not really sure why people even bother logging there time in a game, you all know you play way to fucking much.

Or you could create the point that Professional gamers have rigs that far exceed the requirements to run their games on high as well as any services in the background they find desireable such as music or perhaps game monitoring or recording software.
Personally Xfire doesn't change anything I do in game, and I find it a fun novelty item much as you Collectors and Special edition buyers feel towards the games you buy. Why would I really want little action figures with my game? Hey if action figures or writing in pink gets people off then so should a game monitoring program... right?
Too bad the ignorant bitch doesn't have any knowledge about cars. A 440 Hemi is non-existant. It's a 426 Hemi, people need to do research about shit before posting.....

My game exceeds it by A LOT. Even AoC I could run it with no problems.
And you can compare it to other games. WOW stayed even This Tuesday 290k, last Tuesday 290K
Warhammer drop This Tuesday 45K, last Tuesday 53K
AOC increase(LOL) This Tuesday 5K, Last Tuesday 4.7k (haha.. dead game). Xfire is not perfect, but it is a good indication to see how a game is doing. For instance, it showed the absolute drop of AOC this summer, but also picked up the predicted 3 day bump when the pvp patch was launched a few weeks ago. To the OP: Since you are an AOC fanboy.. what do you make of the fact that AOC is at 1/10 the subscribers of Warhammer, which is probably at 500k subscribers? AOC with 50k subscribers right now? sounds about right to me (and most impartial observers).
Yeah I noticed that to, huge difference there. Explains what I've been saying all along, even the most active PVP servers have little to no traffic. I'd guess they're definitely under 100k at this point give or take.. Even when there's an increase it's still dead in game. Merges are needed, it's that or numbers are going to go into huge decline again.
As for WAR mythic better get on the ball to, I've never seen so many die hard defenders jump ship so fast. Even in AOC it took some time for it to become this extreme in terms of fanboi detractors. I saw it coming in open beta TBH, though I thought it would be the zerg mentality that destroyed RvR. It turned out to be the lack of RvR due to scenarios. Which should have been a lesson learned before hand (WOW).

Think of it as this way, Xfire is for the major geek dorks of the MMORPG genre (obviously because they must prove their dorkness with how many hours they spend playing the game). Therefore, the chances of a major geek dork going back to his dork sanctuary (ahem.. World Of Warcraft) is an incredibly good chance. It's most expected, and I actually welcome the the deprivation of the Xfire users. They tend to ruin games with their "hardcore gamer" style.. and no that wasn't a compliment.
Xfire is an excellent tool for measuring trends in game play and subs within a game. As the OP says Xfire does show War going down this week. However the OP is an obvious troll who is from the AoC forums just trying to make a fuss by exagerating numbers... War is going down but the 40% and 20% numbers are just bogus as you really need to look at averages and trends. I'd say the real numbers are more like 10% or so but none the less it is going down. And reguardless of what people want to believe Xfire is the most accurate tool we have to view how the subs are doing in a game.

It does say no changes in the last 13 days as far as it's position is concerned.

yes but if you do look at the graph and kinda eyeball the ups and downs and create a moving average in your minds eye it has definely gone down in the last week.
If you look at age of conan for example with 4 solid weeks of data shown you can see that aoc is still trending down although in the last week it is almost flat. Definitely gone are the 15-20% week after week drops that AoC had.
If you look at wow or guild wars long time established games you can see that they are virtually flat, perhaps they are down a tiny bit probably due to some movement of players to warhammer but it looks very minor.
I will bet you that WAR numbers will be down another 15% next week and another 25% the week after (the week when free sub run out). You can call me a troll as much as you want but the trend here is clear as daylight. In fact it is steeper than anything else I ever seen in Xfire.

I got no idea what it will do in the coming weeks. I'm guessing that it will probably have a significant drop as the month ends and free subs run out, where after about a month or two people hit lvl 40-50 and found that aoc was unfinished crap.
So I'm guessing however that it won't drop as fast as AoC since war seems like a basically complete game.
However, long term I'm thinking it will probably not do much better since it has some critical flaws in lack of in game communication which help people get the sense that the game is alive and build connections. With this lacking and the game being very large and spread out people won't see a lot of people around except in the main cities. Unfortunately many new people may not stay with the game till they get to the city so ultimately they will leave.
So I'll predict that long term war is gonna very likely be another minor game in the galaxy of wow wannabes...

Well at least when they close all the AOC servers WAR will still be around for you to play.

I also believe it will drop with some % when the free month is up (as it should). The key question that we have no answer to is what the steady inflow of new players is looking like at the moment. Right now there are two normal launch trends scewing the numbers (I would love to have the vanilla WoW X-fire launch numbers right now but I think they do not exist?):
- People play alot just at launch to then settle into a normal mode of playing
- x% (roughly 25% if this game is like most games) will not like the product and stop playing sometime during the free month and then never sub
These two trends will result in a drop - the question is when the normal sales/new subs numbers will start to be seen and how large that flow is, and ultimately what the retention rate is for those that start to sub. Right now only EA and Mythic will know anything about the steady in-flow but ofc nothing yet about retention rates.

Why is it trash it facts and i'am seeing it in game. Last week the server I play on had queues of 250 order and around 500-600 desto at prime time, the last few days it's been around 50 order and 150 desto thats a fair drop in just a week for a brend new game where the newness shouldn't have even worn off yet.

Holy crap, WAR down -20% in gametime (-19% logging customers) since last monday in Xfire: www.xfire.com/games/who/Warhammer_Online_Age_of_Reckoning/ I know Xfire is a questionable tool to measure activity and subscribers with, but this is just more dramatic than anything else I have seen ever in Xfire. I think we know what it means when we look on the downward trend. Why do you folks think this is happenening?
You're going to base if WAR is flopping or not on Xfire? A program that the site states only around 11,444 people are using while playing the game? When it's been said WAR has sold over 500k just in the first week.
Just cause less people show up on there doesn't mean much. After all who's to say a bunch of people didn't uninstall Xfire or during that time period they forgot to run it before logging into WAR?
Until I see less and less people playing for myself I won't believe what Xfire states about it. As of now I see tons of people playing.

Troll or not, your AoC fanboi agenda isn't fooling anyone around here. Go take your crap to the WoW boards, you'll have a lot more people to bait over there!

Ohhh Boy you are setting yourself up. All I have to do next monday is to show you that WAR is down another 15%, and the monday after I will show you that it will keep roling that way. You can't force people to play this crap even though you obviously love it.
LOL.....boy you sure are swole about all the people ditching AoC, aren't you? Providing there are more than enough people to sustain a good server population - which I've seen no signs of slowing so far for most of them - that's all anyone really needs. Do I hope more people play the game in the future, if I think the game producer is doing a good job? Sure, as that will lead to (hopefully) more investment in the game and more by good games by that company in the future.
I'll keep playing WAR while it's fun. I hope that continues, as it seems like the best option out there for what I'm looking for at the moment. If it doesn't become fun, I'll stop playing. I surely won't rely on your Xfire though or your posts to tell me how WAR is going.
OK Mr.Troll - belly has to be full now, time for your nap!

Well according to you population trends in game is inverse proportional to Xfire trends so I see where you are getting the AoC ditching fact from. AoC Xfire trend is up, so AoC must obviously loose customers..LOL..
Anyway keep going at your game, it's all good, but it ain't trolling to state the fact which is Xfire show that Xfire users visited WAR 20% less than last week. How you can claim this to be a positive sign is a mystery to me, but by all means I do not want to burst the bubble. See you next monday.

Incorrect. I'm basing people ditching AoC, based on facts such as my entire guild moved to WAR from that failure of a game.....lol. Last time I looked on my old server forum in that game out of curiousity....there hadn't been a single post in near two weeks. And the fact that general conscensus among any reasonable minded person in the MMO community is that Funcom shit the bed with AoC. Terrible customer service, terrible game stability, terrible balance. Nothing to do with Xfire. I didn't claim a thing about XFire, I could care less about it. You seriously don't acknowledge that Funcom's population is maybe 75% of what it was at release.....if they are lucky?
We'll soon find out where that are at, once their Q3 numbers are released in about a month I'd guess.
I wouldn't be shocked if more people are playing AoC......going from 20000 to 30000 people would be what, a 50% increase? Ok young man, head back to Avery and go get some more ammo! Nice to see you acknowledge your AoC bias in your last post there......haha.
Awesome. Then I can just hope the kiddies leave when WoTLK arrives and that the people who have patience and maturity stays. Just wait till the career and content patches start arriving. Gonna be great? Yea, I bet it will!

Anyway keep going at your game, it's all good, but it ain't trolling to state the fact which is Xfire show that Xfire users visited WAR 20% less than last week. How you can claim this to be a positive sign is a mystery to me, but by all means I do not want to burst the bubble. See you next monday.
