It has WOW-like graphics.
The graphics are pretty disappointing.
I have no problem with cartoony graphics, but this style just doesn't flow for the game. To me it looks like a superhero comic book, not Star Wars.

Great, another 2 faction 'pvp' game....looks like i'll be skipping this one. I wanted more of an old style swg type system....

Can I play alone?
While there are some tasks that cannot be completed without the cooperation of others, the majority of the game can be accomplished by playing alone.
they have to say that or else the lazy, stupid casual fans would get out there pitchforks and torches.
but yeah basically its WoW with Star Wars skins. I can't wait to get my purple light sabre (and i don't mean the color of the blade.) i think im going to spec my tank jedi in the fury talent line.

You'd think after the last attempt of down grading the Star Wars Universe with SWG so they can get all the kids in...they'd of learned their lesson. Awsome Lucas Arts...yet another Failure....god help us I hope those screenshots arent' permenant..but after what they've done to star wars the last few years...Im..betting it won't get any less colorful and kid friendly any time soon. Hopefully this will show that its not the developer like Sony or even Bioware that kills Star Wars but the actual OWNERS of Star Wars.
Star Wars is one of the few franchises that screams for an Open World / Story / Skill system type game where you can be what ever you want. The Lore is there for all of that...its not like WoW or WAR where there isn't enough flesh in the lore for what Farmers or the Senate etc does.
Those days are sadly probably gone. The only hope of seeing that kind of game play again are in games like Darkfall or SWGEmu. Oher than that, I think that the WoW-clones will only continue.

Honestly, with LA involvement, did you really expect anything less? Especially with this time setting this is gonna be Jedi galore.
I'm gonna keep my eye on it still. The Star Wars fan in me can't help it.

if SOE was smart and i know they aren't they should shut down SWG for a few months. Remove any sort of Star Wars crap from it and just repackage it as a sci-fi MMO. take it back to pre-nge style class and combat system ... but allow them to make up thier own lore and what not with the game.
im sure they would at least have as many subs as they have right now with the above done.
at least in this time line it make sense to see a ton of Jedi running around, unlike the setting of SWG.

if they make this game, it should be sandbox in a way such as Darkfall promises to be--any skills, no classes, etc. But in a first person view for all times, not "3rd for melee". And also, Freelancer-twitch-combat-aerial combat.

I can understand why you guys are dissapointed because it's not a sandbox, like swg pre-cu, but you were in total denial if you thought bioware were going to make anything else other than what they know. i.e. a semi-linear rpg. One of the bioware devs said way back that their secret mmorpg was not going to be a sandbox. I was dissapointed back then, so im not just now. It was what I expected. It's not pre-cu but I'm still going to play it. I look forward to it.

I didn't think I could be disappointed by the graphics. Even I do like WoW and WAR ones.
I agree not that they don't look nice, they just don't fit SW universe.
Like they wanted to target the kids.
I find it interesting. We will see how the pvp is supposed to be. How guilds will be handled.
Will withold negative comments till then. I'm hoping for the best.
