Just got two WoW accounts and players beware that servers are down. Totally the most unprofessional MMORPG service that I have seen in 20 years of gaming.

Servers are always down on Tuesday, and its the last patch before expansion.
How ridiculously ludicrous for you to say that. Do you not realize that ALL MMOs have down times to implement new things, patch, and fix problems? I've been playing WoW since the original release date, and truthfully, they are VERY good at addressing technical problems, unlike MANY other companies.
Is this your first MMO ever?
Frankly, very MUCH more often than not, WoW runs without even a tiny hitch. This is a mere DAY before a huge expansion release and they are working on a few things. If you can't understand THAT....I would suggest a different genre of gaming for you, like oh....maybe single player adventure games or newspaper crossword puzzles??

Those bastards! How dare Blizzard take down the servers for maintanence like they have scheduled for every single Tuesday for the last four years. This is unnacceptable.

Hmmm yes who would have thought an MMO with millions of players would need to take their servers down in order to finalize preparations for a major expansion tomorrow night.

Obviously all you that posted fail to see the need for consumers to be informed, servers have been done all today.
And I for one when paying for two accounts expect to be able to utilize them.
Yeah, that's just insanity. MMOs should run flawlessly 200 percent of the time, and they should never...I repeat NEVER.....need extra time to work on the game, regardless of whether or not they are getting ready to add another 2G of content to them or NOT, damn it!

The instant that they had a problem they posted the issue and said that they would update us on the problem within two hours. Its been one and a half since then.
Did you just BUY those two accounts today and your upset that you can't play them right away?
That is what it sounds like to me, why would you MAKE an account on here to bitch about WoW being down...

Listen up, Buddy....we have THREE WoW accounts in my home and none of the three of us are pissin' and moanin', not even my 18 year old son. If an 18 year old PvP-aholic can survive the downtime, SURELY you can make it. Just have a drink and CHILL.
EVERY MMO has downtime for its' servers. Seriously....is this your first MMO ever, or what? Downtime does not USUALLY last very long, however....there is a HUGE expansion that will be released T O M O R R O W. Get it?
Apart from the fact, that if you had simply read the announcements, either when you log in to the game, or on the forums, or assorted other places on the internet, you would have known that there was maintenance today. Don't blame Blizzard for the fact that they, like every single OTHER MMO, like to take care of their servers that will be running the game that we ALL pay to play.
It seems to me that you're trying to blame Blizzard for the unfortunate fluke of you buying your accounts on a day when they're doing last minute maintenance. Well, golly gee shucks....bad luck happens to ALL of us at some time in life. You'll live.

What part of informing customers of IT ignorance is trolling? Great game, updates on Tuesday, got it - going on ten hours down time. Has nothing to do with money back just reliable game service.

My responce: "IT ignorance? Their main page has information stating the servers are down, the login screen ALSO says why the servers are down, the servers have been down EVERY tuesday since WoW began. I'm sorry when someone posts for the first and only time on MMORPG .com just to complain about a specific game, it normally means your trolling, espcially when the xpack is coming out soon.
So its easy to see why you appear to be nothing but a troll, and an ignorant one at that. Not to mention your complaining about poor customer service when you just started playing this game and you picked three days before an xpack to do it? And then you act surprised about the servers having a lot of maintenance?"
Name ONE game that has MORE reliable service. Oh...and don't forget...you have to reference a time on their REGULARLY SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE day, and it also has to be about 24 hours before a major expansion......
I have four years worth of experience with WoW from which to judge their "reliability." YOU have what....a day? I think you can take the word of some other people who have been playing this game for YEARS, that Blizzard is indeed VERY reliable.
Wow....do you EVER have a day where you have to do yard maintenance on your home lawn or anything? Does everyone complain at you that you're "unreliable" because you're doing it when they (unbeknownst to YOU) want to have a picnic on the front lawn or something? Where is all this bitter irritation coming from? It's REALLY NOT Blizzard's fault you bought your accounts on a Tuesday before the expansion.....is it??

Be grateful, EQ maintenance day would go all day or longer most of the time and with very little updates from the staff about whats going on. Or dont, I really dont give a crap. Cancel all 2 of your accounts and go play minesweeper or something, you will be missed im sure.
I firstly wished they would be down forever for the sake of what is good in mmorpgs but then I realized WoW riff-raff playerbase would invade other real mmorpgs and plague them, so I wish them to work perfectly again.

Welcome to MMOs and especially to World of Warcraft, oh-most-obvious-of-a-noob OP.
Two links above are to keep you informed, in addition to the other messages other posters have already mentioned. There is no conspiracy against you, happens almost every Tuesday, get over it. This is not IT ignorance - see $OE and SWG for that. Tell you what - when you find any computer-based service that is up absolutely 100% of the time, you let us know. Because you won't.

Ah, yes..yes indeed sir...how dare Blizzard do scheduled maintainance on the day before a major new expansion hits the shelves. I am sure it was done to personally slight you and had nothing to do with anyone or anything else.
Here is my suggestion: Cancel your accounts immediately, including the one made for MMORPG.com and never, ever look back. Stay off the MMO games...they are all just a scam to bilk you personally out of money. Trust me...you (and by extension all of us) will be much, much happier for it.)
