I'm surprised to see so much people saying later... cause.. if signups are later than that.. I won't try to imagine the date of the Open beta itself.. yikes.. :)

Hey guys, slack down. Remember that poll is about Signups and not the actual Open Beta itself. Wether the Open beta starts 2 months or 2 days after the signup .. this is another story.

    Id say later. Right now i am disgusted with Blizzard. They let stress testers in so that means that there will still be atleast a week left. This is so !@#$ing stupid. What were they thinking when they decided to announce that OB Signups would be "soon". Now im wondering if OB will even come out because now its just annoying. Atleast give us some kind of date or something.... Blizzard doing this just decreases my hype as days go bye... It could be there loss

    Hey man, the Stress test players may have been announced today, but they have been playing the closed beta since a goooood while, so no worry about that.

    Oct 29 if only 1 week of OB or Oct 22 if for 2 weeks is my estimation.

    But still.. they should have said something to give us whom are waiting something to hope with.. a date.. a 'screw you' message....  something.

    anyone knows any more WoW music videos.. they help =P

    I got like 5 so far....

    JuniorX two one called dwarves can't dance and some german stress test song....

    also got juniorx's blimp and boat rides which has funky music but isn't actually music er.. videos...

    LOL Took them 6 weeks after stress test to announce the winners.  Goes along with there announcement for ob on 10/7 that more information in few days.  It will be 6 weeks after the 7 to say beta will start in 6 weeks LOL.  Wife asked me why I didnt pre-order 2 copies of wow.  Simple with a company like Blizzard with there history on back dating releases.  There is to many expansions and new mmpg between now and jan 2005 to lock in spending 100 bucks just to wait for there announcement release is going to be pushed back.  Few days to me is within a week no more that is pushing it to me.  11 days after that anouncement sad to see announcement we like to inform you on the stress test winners.  Wich ended 6 weeks ago.  They were better off not mentioning at all ob coming soon.image

    I too am disgusted by the wait.  They said "open beta coming soon."  And before any smart mouth starts talking about the relative meaning of "soon," I say STFU.  We're not talking about volcanos here, so for the imminent release of a video game, "soon" means a few days.  Especially since they also said "look for more info in the coming days."

    Only the Stress Test contest winners names were posted. The winners have been in CB for a while now. The rest of us STB's have not been re-activated. I for one am loosing hope of getting back in, and for MMORPG's in general although EQ2 beta has kept me busy.

    I dont know when the sign-ups get here but the OB is coming Nov 15. All is indicating on it. For example. What about all the offers you can get know from diffrent computer game stores that if you order a special order then you will get a garanteed spot in the OB and those special orders come to you Nov 15... Also it would be conveniant for Blizzard to since they are supposed to release the game in USA and Asia and Australia at the same date.

    Blizzard isn't the only one with a very relaxed view of the word "soon".

    In april I received an e-mail saying I was selected to beta test EQ2, and I would "soon" receive a second e-mail with info on downloading the client and setting up an account. I didn't get the second e-mail till september.

    We'll have it when we have it and worrying won't make it sooner.

    I voted for the 25th btw.

    Blizzard never said: "in a few days", they said: "more info in the coming days". Granted, that was a while back, but MMO's are NEVER on time and things never seem to go according to schedule. When I saw that post on their website, I thought to myself 'about 2 weeks before we hear anything else about it.' I'll stick to my guns on this one.

    On a side note, it's kinda sad to see everyone all uppity and freaking out because they won't give us open beta. You need to realize that Blizzard doesn't HAVE to give you a damn thing. Open Beta is more of a courtesy to the community, and a chance to get people hooked on the game, it is not a federally mandated proceedure. lol

    So just get over it and be patient, becuase regardless of how butt-hurt you are over this or that, the fact of the matter is that your threats are empty. When and if open beta comes, you'll be right there alongside the rest of us, frothing at the mouth and ranting at Blizzard for only letting File Planet serve the $#17.

    By the way, it's raining pretty hard here in SoCal and yet the people here refuse to slow down or drive in a cautious manner, I saw 8 accidents on my way home this morning... dumbasses.image

    Id be willing to say, we wont see Open Beta till Nov 1.   Then release around the projected 15-17th time frame.

     

    Reason being, simple.  Bandwidth costs money, the longer you run a full blown open beta with 200-300,000 people, the more in the hole you go.  So, Im thinking Open Beta wont last more than a week to two max.

    Can we just compare what the closed beta was like? I mean, how much earlier were signups before the CB started? how long did the CB last? I'm sure it'll be relatively close to that time. But, who knows, I'm not usually good at guessing games....image

    At this point, I've lost all hope that open beta will be in October. I'm guessing sometime after Nov. 1 with a release date of Nov. 16th.

    Honestly I am getting sick of all this OB NOW, when is OB? Blizzard I fucking HATE YOU for not having OB now! Just forget about it and let it come when it comes.
