Thanks Blizzard way to much hype and no action

Sad released info on ob soon. That was 15 days ago. They said stay tuned next few days. This is how they are maybe I need to go back to daoc or ao. Sadly ao not enough pvp and daoc was ruined by nf and toa.

Yeah it really sucks that beta hasn't started yet. I have just as much displeasure as you do. But everyone is turning the general discussion page into the "when's beta gonna start page".
I don't get it why you people are so pissed off at Blizzard for not having OB out right now...
I would rather wait for them to fix everything before had then rush all the patches before launch

I think everyone that is going to get WoW, is excited for OB. But comon people, Blizzard knows what they are doing and will start OB when they are ready. I too wish it could be today or yesterday or the day before that but the fact is we cant pressure blizzard into giving us OB, because unlike other companies they are smart and dont always bend on request.

Just be glad there is a open beta and that you will get the game before christmas instead of waiting till next year. Give a inch and they want a mile....

Pshhhh according to Blizzard this game should have been out LAST christmas... or even before that. They're taking forever with this and they need to stop being stupid and get OB goin because if they dont they will never be ready to release by Nov. 15th... EQ2 already moved up their date and their game is wayyy less polished than WoW. WoW is as good as any MMO on the market right now and its ready for release. They need to haul ass and release at the same time as EQ2 and kick its ass...

THe people over at Blizzard know exactly what there doing, why let you play for free for 3 weeks or more and possible get bored or leave or just not like the game.. When they can have you play for like a week and get totally hooked on it then have you rushing out to get your hands on the retail version so they can get PAID....

At least Blizzard is hosting an Open Beta. A lot of people are running around like it is their god given right to play this game when they want. It's not. Right now the game is in TESTING stages. That means it is Blizzard's right to decide who can or can't play the game.
They are throwing that right out of the window by allowing an Open Beta and letting all of the people who have been complaining over the past few months a chance to play the game they feel they so greatly deserve. You need to tone it down a bit and start to think, it is Blizzard's game, it isn't all the way done yet, you, I, nor anyone sane has payed for the game, and there are some pretty nice folks over at Blizzard to even think about giving an Open Beta.
I don't understand why my thread got deleted and stuff like this doesn't. It was putting across the same question only with the attitude of a 12 year old with a keyboard. Oh well, though, not everything is fair in life.
I agree that Blizzard knows what they are doing, almost all their games change the industry a little. However, what people are upset about is Blizzard telling us that OB will be "soon". While "soon" is an indefeinate period of time, after two weeks of silence from Blizzard people are geting a little anxious. I myself every morning check the boards for ANY new info, and have been getting more and more disappointed. This is not to say that I am upset with Blizzard for not starting OB, I am sure there is some valid reason. I don't believe they should release it before it and they are ready. I do however believe that they should have waited to say that OB will be soon. It would have avoided alot of anxiety. Either way I still continue to cross my fingers (btw typing with fingers crossed is pretty hard).

You whiners are selfish. Blizzard simply said that the OB is "coming soon", and that information will be available in the "days ahead".
Information has been coming from Blizzard since, hinting at what's going on over there. The staff has been saying things about how there will be a couple of patches before OB to they're still working on getting the servers ready. So, if you're smart, you'd know Blizzard isn't quite ready for OB yet.
The problem here is you, not Blizzard. You're the ones who hyped yourself up for WoW OB now, based on generic information that never said OB was here now. I bet you ppl. would believe that I can sh*t money just because I say so.
Try this...get a life ppl -- one that isn't all WoW.

while WOW is probably worth the wait.....
One thing blizzard has to realize is that whether or not WOW is the better game is not necessarily what will determine who is going to purchase it. Allot of people are undecided on which game to buy. Its a tough choice seeing that EQ is basically a household name among MMO fans and WOW is relatively new to the scene only being known for its RTS titles thus far.
Many of these people are planning to buy whichever game hits the shelves first which if things continue the way they are will be EQ2. Most folks after spending the 50 bucks for EQ2 are not going to go out and spend another 50 on WOW to give it the benefit of the doubt. THey will just be content playing the game they already have. This equals tons of lost sales for WOW which is potentially damaging considering they are technically the underdog in this game conflict already.

Couldnt be more wrong about the "random" drawings for beta's. Fansites take precednce over your regular ole Joe McIquitplayingEQ and never belonged to a huge guild. This way they can get exposure/reviews on said fansites from biased points of view.Take the guy who ran that one "well known" fansite who was left out of the loop because "SoE's policy changed" on him after he blew sunshine up thier butts about how great EQ2 was but then (heh) he didnt get beta keys for himself or his GUILD Pretty nderhanded marketing but thats the way it is.
Also, ive quit paying attention to the progress of WoW as of 5 minutes ago. Ill still get it after it goes retail, but all the forums look like are rehashed questions from testers/no constructive feedback from testers. The videos are nice though.
I have been waiting for some one to say this. (Why I didn't myself who knows) read the posts of people who have played EQ2 beta, there is a general dissatisfaction, yet instead of pushing back to fix these they pushed forward to beat out the competition by one week. SOE is known for releasing a half finished product. Blizzard on the other hand is known for it's quality. The only mistake I have seen them use lately is the use of the word "soon" which by definition is an unspecified time period. I want to play the game as well, but I want to play a quality finished game. I don't want a World of Star Warscraft.

I know this has been said- but from some of the posts here... I think it needs to be said again. We are disappointed in blizzard's lying to us and poor time management. This game has been in development for a LONG ass time... like 4 years... and it was originally scheduled for release over a year ago. This is BS... they keep pushing it back... and I'm not so much disappointed in the delaying of OB as I am in that it doesnt look like WoW will meet even the Nov 16th 2004 release date...
And on top of that these lazy crackheads at blizzard cant even give us a date for release and/or open beta...
They said we'd have open beta news "In the next few days" over two weeks ago. Have we heard anything? No. Do the blizzard reps know ANYTHING about whats going on? No. ((For instance when asked which servers Australia would be included in they had no idea, even when it had already been officially released by blizzard that they would be on the North American servers and get the game on the same date. It was already posted on www.ausgamers.com and several other sites at this time))
Also, theres a difference between releasing a total PIECE OF CRAP like SWG was at release and releasing a not-quite finished product. WoW is about 15x better than SWG was at release and SWG was a big success... I dont know about you guys but I was in the SWG beta from phase1 and it sucked through the entire beta... horribly... horrible lag and crashes, etc... WoW kicks ass NOW and should be released NOW, not delayed further for no reason.
