my thought about runescape

xushengxusheng Member Posts: 30

i've played runescape for about 2 years now and ive gotten to lvl 99. most people get alot higher in 2 years cause they only train melee, i've always disliked melee but it was cheap and easy to train so i trained it. once i reached the 90s it took insanely long to train my skills and it was boring which lead to my quitting. i think that jagex should seriously think about making lvling easier or allow macroing cause if they allow macroing and than everyone will use it and once everyone uses it won't be a unfair advantage.

i rate runescape 7/10. look my character on highscores if u want....xusheng2

If you ask me training range skills was easy and "cheap", but in a different way. Back when I used to play you could just hide behind tables and shoot a monster and it wouldn't come across or work its way around the table to kill you.

Leveling WAS easy along time ago. Jagex changed the exp rates among other things so it would take you longer to level so you had to put more time into the game which meant more $$$ in their pockets.

If anything they should make the skills harder. I remember when it took a minimum of a year to get 99 prayer if you had the cash, now jagex has nerfed that skill to the point that you can get 1-99 prayer in 6 days if you have the cash.

Macroing ruins games and it takes the point out of playing a game. I'm guessing you're a kid if you would actually want macroing in the game.

i really could care less about prayer, but most of the combat skills take a long time to train unless u have alot of money which most people dont. people are quitting runescape cause it takes to long to train not because its boring, training is boring and since training takes so long it makes the game boring.

I would take that over everyone being level 126, you really have no idea what you're talking about and wow is a horrible game that takes no skill.

no skill u serious...... u play runescape its auto attack don't even say that takes skills. ill admit pve takes little or no skill and only little if ur tank or healer. But pvp is a whole different story y do u think there is a huge separation in WoW and not just high lvl and low lvls like runescape WoW is divided into pros and non pro of course u probably wouldn't know wat im talking about cause u play runescape.... came out in 2001 and only has around 150,000 online at once...

Again you have no idea what you’re talking about, I don’t play runescape anymore. And wow doesn’t take any skill you can wtfpwn anyone in that game if you have the best gear and roll your face on the keyboard.

You want an mmo that takes real skill? Play dark fall online when it comes out in January.

You advertise yourself as if being a "Pro" mage in WoW is such a big deal. Its an MMORPG lol. I'm a MLG player, but on different games and me, my friends and alot of people that participate in MLG wonder why WoW is even on the roster of MLG games. PVP in some MMOs get competitve, but I wouldn't say to the point where they deserve to be put on the same level as Halo.

No, fact is if you mention you're a "pro" WoW player outside of the "WoW circle" people laugh at you.

People sell guides on how to get to max level in WoW in less than 10 days. I guess you didn't get the memo or don't look at the ad bars on sites. Yeah itz mad EaZy yO!

I have played WOW, and I quit after the first few months, and I had to force myself to play it. the only reason WOW has so many players is because they dumbed down the game to point where any casual gamer could play it without the slightest bit of skill, in fact many argue that WOW destroyed the MMORPG market.

WoW is the worst mmorpg I have ever played, and I have played my share of mmorpgs.

  • BonemaneBonemane Member UncommonPosts: 353

Yeah WoW sells because its "Casual" friendly and casual gamers are the biggest market you can dive into because they're basically your everyday average person. Its why Microsoft cut ties with all its old games and changed MSN Gaming Zone into the crap it is now which is supposedly a huge hit with people too. It's why the Wii is the biggest selling system right now. Casual gamers are a huge market thats all. Doesn't make the game great or "amazing" just means they appealed to the largest market.

I doubt this kid is even a pro gamer. Problably just sits at home all day playing WoW and calls himself a pro cause his guild is above average at pvp on the easiest game ever made. Here's a hint kid. Pro's don't go around telling everybody they're a pro gamer. They especially don't have crappy things in their sigs like "pro mage on wow" or whatever. Atmost you'll see someone with a professionally designed clan banner w/ links to their clan sites, the MLG site and their win/loss records and achievements.

So the kid is either a wanna-be or a bottom lister in which I wouldn't even open my mouth if I was, especially if I was a bottom lister on WoW.

I gotta say. The new sig fits him.

I'm playing/have played Runescape for the last 7 years or so. Now and then ya just got to take a break from it, though leveling in Runescape isn't hard.

You just have to know your ways to it. Guides are easily accessable. Talking on communities as tip.it and zybez.net will give you a lot of information on how to train your skills the fastest.

Not for all skills lvl 99 is nessesary to have. At lvl 92 you're half way to 100%. Level 92 is for most skills good enough. As is 80 for non combat skills. Ranging and magic are quite fast to train. Ofcourse having money saves you, in some cases even a lot, of time.

Ranging aviansies for example gives you quite the xp and quite the money. This money you can spend on magic and still keep a surplus in your bank to spend on other skills. When you train mining to for example 85 you can mine rune, which gives you around 13-15k per ore. Banking this will result in a LOT of money to spend.

Like I said, you just have to find your ways in the game to make the money if you want it super fast. With a little more patience you can still level up quite fast and earn a lot of money.

Stop being a blind fan boy, wow isn’t a good game and never will be. I don’t care if 11 million people play the game, it just means that a company can make a buck if they dumb a game down enough for the masses and give it good graphics.

I highly doubt the 11.5 million people would let the fake "Pro" WoW player speak for all of them.

You keep throwing WoW's numbers at us and we shoot you down everytime. How about the 100+ million people in the world that don't play WoW or the 20 million+ that hate it then?

To argue "who's got the bigger numbers" is nonsense.

So WoW holds 60% of the mostly casual gamer mmorpg market, if most of the mmorpg market wasn’t filled with casual gamers WoW would be nowhere close to where it is now.

Let's all answer this question. Who here can honestly say that the Wii is better than both the PS3 and the 360 and the Wii's games are better?

    No nintendo fanboys please.
