As far as they've stated in terms of price, is basically the status quo of all mainstream mmo games on release, which is around 50 dollars. Though I wouldn't be surprised if that price was significantly lower if your downloading it, because they don't have to pay for packaging, manual, etc.
Monthly fee will probably be ranging between 12-15 dollars, I can't see it going higher then WoW price if it wants to compete. (they've mentioned this to mmorpg.com )
In terms of system requirments, they made a statment sometime ago on this site, which is probably outdated by now. But I'd imagine they will release system reqs after open beta, so they can see how it preforms with alot of people on their servers.

I agree that alot of these people are just trolls trying to trash talk the game (not sure why there's so much hate for this game when it's not out yet) but in my opinion the only way to stop the spread of all this misinformation is to actually discredit the made up claims of these trolls, instead of just yelling "he's a lying troll blah blah".
Hopefully accurate information will stop this ridiculous circle of ignorance. Because in all honesty, arguing with a troll or fanboy only strengthns their belief in their side of the argument.

The reason there are no beta leaks is because there are only a couple hundred of Tasos's friends and family playing. How are they going to go from 200 to 200,000 in a couple of weeks?

Well they are selling from Greece so currency conversion can help or hurt the price depending on where you live and time you buy it. You don't pay sales tax on intangible goods in the USA at least. So that's a plus; expecially to some European counties. I hear the sales tax over there on non-essential items is insane.

They just said in a recent interview that there were 200 people in beta. So how is that factually wrong?

Of course it is just friends and family. The only person who posted ANYTHING about beta was someone who started out by saying " I've known them for 5 years". Everything else we know about the game has come directly from the devs. Not even reporters have any game experience yet..... and the game is launching in 4 weeks?
I honestly feel like I'm getting a first hand view of the biggest con game in the history of MMORPGs. I just pray that they mess up and actually get people to pay money so we can follow the legal proceeding for the years to come. My guess is that they will just 'go silent' and let Jan 22nd come and go... but please, please don't do that.. Please get people to pay for a digital download... it will just make it more entertaining
I've been following Darkfall for only a year and a half now. I've defended it many times, declining the vaporware attacks, the featurlacking attacks, the Tasos attacks, and now the "Noob previews the game!" attacks.
I'm pretty sure that I've just realized that anyone who thinks the game is coming out... well if you look at it with an objective view, there is NO reason to believe that it is... literally. The ones who say it is vaporware, or it will be a complete failure have NO reason to believe that it is.
No one is right here, seriously. Its either you trust Tasos or you don't. There are no probabilities, there are no chances, it is mere trust.

As far as they've stated in terms of price, is basically the status quo of all mainstream mmo games on release, which is around 50 dollars. Though I wouldn't be surprised if that price was significantly lower if your downloading it, because they don't have to pay for packaging, manual, etc.
Monthly fee will probably be ranging between 12-15 dollars, I can't see it going higher then WoW price if it wants to compete. (they've mentioned this to mmorpg.com )
In terms of system requirments, they made a statment sometime ago on this site, which is probably outdated by now. But I'd imagine they will release system reqs after open beta, so they can see how it preforms with alot of people on their servers.

Ugh guys, stop trying to argue with the trolls. They're just trying to spread misinformation. By arguing with them, as though they were making logical, factual statements, you merely validate their lies in the eyes of onlookers.
1. Believe it or not, tenspotting and his alts do not have access to the IP addresses of people posting here. They're lying about knowing who (if anyone) was creating alts to hype/dehype the game.
2. There are members of the public in the open beta. There's even been a beta leak which contained two names of testers who are regular posters on the Darkfall forums. They're lying about it being 'friends and family only'.
3. There have been NDA breaking leaks. I've seen at least 4 seperate ones. Hint: Darkfall is being produced by a Greek company, who are aiming largerly at a European audience, have sank most of their PR in Europe, are releasing in Europe first, and most of their beta testers are Europeans. The beta leaks are not in english... More lies here.

I agree that alot of these people are just trolls trying to trash talk the game (not sure why there's so much hate for this game when it's not out yet) but in my opinion the only way to stop the spread of all this misinformation is to actually discredit the made up claims of these trolls, instead of just yelling "he's a lying troll blah blah".

Well they are selling from Greece so currency conversion can help or hurt the price depending on where you live and time you buy it. You don't pay sales tax on intangible goods in the USA at least. So that's a plus; expecially to some European counties. I hear the sales tax over there on non-essential items is insane.

Of course it is just friends and family. The only person who posted ANYTHING about beta was someone who started out by saying " I've known them for 5 years". Everything else we know about the game has come directly from the devs. Not even reporters have any game experience yet..... and the game is launching in 4 weeks?
I honestly feel like I'm getting a first hand view of the biggest con game in the history of MMORPGs. I just pray that they mess up and actually get people to pay money so we can follow the legal proceeding for the years to come. My guess is that they will just 'go silent' and let Jan 22nd come and go... but please, please don't do that.. Please get people to pay for a digital download... it will just make it more entertaining
I've been following Darkfall for only a year and a half now. I've defended it many times, declining the vaporware attacks, the featurlacking attacks, the Tasos attacks, and now the "Noob previews the game!" attacks.
I'm pretty sure that I've just realized that anyone who thinks the game is coming out... well if you look at it with an objective view, there is NO reason to believe that it is... literally. The ones who say it is vaporware, or it will be a complete failure have NO reason to believe that it is.
