History has shown that over hype or high expectatons lead to dissappointment.
Aion has very minimal hype if you look at the big picture. The only ones who know about and well are avid internet browsers. Now games like WAR and AoC where you see posters and videos and devs jabbing all over the place, that's overhype.
The hype is at an acceptable level, in fact I worry they are shooting themselves in the foot in NA by not marketing yet...
because it looks like a good game....are we guilty of something if we hope the best for the game ?.... few...anyway Asian Grindfest or Occidental grindfest it is more or less the same... You kill things to get XP, phat lewtz and gold

it's true but there is a proverb in french it says : "une fois n'est pas coutume" it means that even if it happened once it wont obligatory happen again....it may...like it may not
well what I want to say is that yes we have high expectation, but maybe the game will live up our expectation....who knows

I antecipate this game because so far, both pvp and pve sounds good in theory, ofc theory is still a theory until they release the game and we see exactly whats there and whats not...hopefully it doesnt go like RF online or similar, all hype and no game
Seriously, its just another asian grindfest game with no depth. Everyone will look the same, 1 kind of armour per 10 levels etc etc...seen it all before. Probably uses the L2 engine too, they all seem to, even the interfaces.
You even "Guess" at what graphics engine the game is using. Holy crap your mom mustof been smoking some strong weed to make a human capable of such stupidity. You even bothered post this statement proving you find the slightest curiosity about wtf is going on and yet you won't even find the UTMOST BASICS? You are making even the dumbest of trolls and haters depressed at that. Because even the most stupid of trolls know what graphics engine is being used before making any kind of statement.
I can't wait for this game - I'm so tired of WoW /sigh I need a new game to become obsessed with. Everything I've seen so far has made me really want to try Aion - I was hesitant after hearing about the hero class on PvP but now it kinda makes sense - so I still wanna try this game. Graphics that I've seen = awesome, storyline = great, etc. So I'll try it out when we finally are able to buy it - I think most anticipate it because they're ready for something new and different from the WoW mold.
The game looks very crisp, and combat looks fluid and enjoyable... But in the end, it suffers from a lot of stupid design choices, like the PVP heirarchy.

I'm not expecting much honestly.
pvp is just fine as it is.
Do you get ganked by higher lvl ? yep you sure do, its part of the game. Its no big deal really except if your trying to complete a quest in the abyss then it becomes a challange. But that's what friends are for correct ? to watch your back while you do these things. The quest are not long and drawn out so its not to hard to get done unless there is a heavy concentration of enemey faction in the area.
Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...
In theory it won't become just another equipment grindfest like WoW fell into after it abandoned the ranking system...pvp was more interesting before that when it still had rankings, from whats been told around Aion seems to have picked something similar to that ranking system thus I have great expectations for it, hopefully the pve and economy/craft system can keep up to par or at least not be boringly shallow like WAR...or that they slack out on high end material...one can only hope

I was referring to the WoW-esque approach to pvp, not getting ganked by a higher level.
Honestly, this whole thing is just getting a bit tired at this point. You can only grind kill quests for so long. Some developer really needs to think outside the box when it comes to these games; but I guess that's risky talk: afterall - people are content with having a second job they have to pay for. Just look at EVE, and to a lesser extent; WoW. (Arena) Hell, arena is so boring and frustrating they had to practically force the uninterested playerbase into doing it by attaching rquirements to the lower end rewards.
you don't like it, don't play it. Its not at all how you say it will be. Happy i don't have to see you in game, people like you are what ruin communities.
