Animations and avatars are the worst I have seen in many years. The only explanation I can find for this, is too sad to write it here.
Seriously I am going to say this right here and now. You sir are the biggest troll of Darkfall. Yes you! Not the people who say "Vaporwarezzz!" over and over. Not the people who constantly belittle the games development cycle. No it is you Altairzq. Want to know why? Well as you know i am always honest and straight forward,so i try to be fair.
That actually did not look too bad at all,much better than what i expected to see from this game.I would say 200% better than what i expected.
Yes some of the animation/movements seemed a little off/choppy but over all ,that is much better looking than WOW and 8+ years old?hmm not bad.If WOW looked that good,Blizzard would gain a small bit of credibility for hiring 300+ to work on that game lol.,and the so called millions they spent.Remember Aventurine or the original staff was like 5 guys,i REALLY hardly doubt they have many more than that working on it now.
If these guys had 300 employees and the Blizzard bankroll,imagine how superior this game might be?it pretty much shows a decent effort by such a small developer.Again i was impressed by the INITIAL/FIRST video i have seen from this game.More to come and of course i would have to actually play it ,to see how well it is designed.

So when WAR's attack animations were choppy and bad it was all bitch and moan. (don't know if they still are) But when the so called god send of all games Darkfall has terrible, I mean terrible animations its okay? How can one game get flamed to all hell, and have a saposive bad launch yet if Darkfall has shitty attack animations its okay. (would call WAR the best launch of any MMO maybe a little above or at least next to LORT) Can anyone shed some light on this to me? I've been watching this game because well, it might be fun to stealth gank people and make someones life a living hell untill they unsubscribe. But, with the mentality of bad animations = okay, then I really hate to see were this game is going. I laughed at jokes about Tasos, how hes a God figure. But really its getting to that point. The fanboys really seem to only think good of this game. Yet the evidence shows that it is not going to be so good.
But anyways can I please be told why horrible I mean worst ive ever seen in a damn video game attack animations in Darkfall is okay, yet in WAR its complete doom and death of the game.
WAR wasn't flammed for having crappy graphics,. although that was some people's complaint. It was flamed for taking WoW BGs and basing a game on it. And WAR is only the "best" launched MMO if you didn't follow it. They removed nearly half the game from beta to launch, something not done in many MMOs (world size reduced, class completly removed to be fixed and added latter, mechanics dumbed down, ect). I guess thats what you have to do when you are published by the evil empire.
Better yes but NO.. It sucks, for christ sake look on the combat the 1 us clubswing animations, the riding animation. Look on the shadows virtually painted on the ground. It does not look that good and I still think it looks worse than WAR.

I don't understand the people following Darkfall and expect triple AAA title quality. This game started in a garage. This is an indie game. Im surprise that everyone expectations are so high. Some know this and only want the harsh enviroment from leaks it told to provide it.
On topic beta players said the enviroment is great looking but everything else is crap( characters, animations, and effects)

I'll be honest, graphics mean squat to me. Gameplay, a good crafting system and depth is all that matter IMO. I began playing ultima online again for the last week just because a lot of the darkfall features are an updated upgraded version, and I still love it. I played uo for 7 years and never bashed the graphics once because the game was SO DAMN GOOD. The only downside that burned uo was the cheats and the eventual loss of population. I have been begging for a 3d version of UO and from all that I have read, this may be BETTER than I hoped. The last 3 years all I did in UO was crafting, so my type of gameplay may really benifit from full looting. If the graphics are not the best on the block, well it won't bother me in the slightest. From what I have seen, the graphics are more than sufficient. I would rather better frame rates personally once we get into the large scale battles. I tend to turn graphics all the way down in games like AOC just to improve performance anyway, not because I need to, but because a lot of it is useless fluff anyway.
The graphics are...acceptable at best, honest opinion. But if it does indeed have the outstanding features and gameplay that it says it has, I have no problem ranking it 9+...But let's not forget that we have a serious lack of real visual info, either it goes the good or bad way we'll see soon enough right? Not many games to this day had everything it said it will have at release...hopefully DF will be a exception as its been in development for nearly a decade?

i just watched another video and saw SHADER use,i am impressed ,i did not think these guys had much in them.For such and old game,these guys are far ahead of most other efforts,especially for that era in time.Why are people being negative here?Did anyone expect this good a looking game from Aventurine? i for sure did not.It is a notch up on WOW most certainly.

I never cared for DF, In fact i did not tink it was going to come out. I am going to try it, I am 98% sure im not going to like it i think its going to be a gank fest 99.5% of the time, and i dont find spawn, die, spawn, die fun.
