You probably wont get a nice box for your shelf from these guys. Your best bet is just to get a DnL box, cross out the name, and write DFO under it. Same difference.

Good luck finding a DnL box. I never saw one nor my cloth map. All I ever got was triple billed after I cancelled and a digital download....hhhhmmmm sounds familiar.
Most people who buy this game will be listening to actualy real player who are playing the real game when they read their first report, if those players are on a free trial then they won't even have paid anything.
That's all well and good, but the point is that two weeks before a game launches, most MMO's have already announced little details for players, like where and when to buy it, how much it will cost, monthly sub fees, minimum and recommended system specs, basic billing info, and all that.
I don't think it's unreasonable to have that kind of information out there for people so close to a purported launch, especially for NA players, since the game servers and everything else are in the EU.
I'm not saying that the devs have to spill every single detail about every single game mechanic in Darkfall, or that you have to know exactly what to expect when you first log into the game world. I'm talking about technical info that will help potential players as they make their decision of whether or not to buy the game. It's ludicrous that so close to a release, even the most basic purchasing and technical info is non-existent.
The fact they havent released even the most BASIC of info about this game, like as you say how to buy it or system specs tells me it is a scam. That along with the no OB, there is just too many red flags here --- wayyyy too many.
I agree , Aventurine and their straight forward approach to this launch is a refreshing and reassuring change to the normal unethical prelaunch practices of the mainstream MMO industry. Its so simple I just don't understand why the troll haters can't understand it, Darkfall will release on the 22nd without any prior unnecessary hyped up marketing announcements about open beta, client cost and availability, billing, system requirements, etc. You either buy it and see if you like it or you don't, only after you buy Darkfall and you are not satisfied are you entitled to start whining, but only after you have paid money first. Its just so simple and straight forward. All the answers to your questions will come on the 22nd after you buy Darkfall, remember Aventurine are not like other MMO developers so forget what you think you know about successful MMO development and their launches. Aventurine don't believe or have the time for pre launch customer or community support, that will hopefully all come after release when you have paid for Darkfall. Remember Tasos said Darkfall is feature complete, has been fully tested, and is ready for release, and that's all the reassurance I need personally to make my purchase on the 22nd.

Actually, Tasos said it would be ~10 Euros . . . which is roughly $12 . . . so not that far off.

He said it in the last presentation in Greece, but he said 11-13 euros which are 15-17 dollars more or less, if I remember well.
