God gave up and decided to put you in charge...what would you do in your first act as a God?
I would, tell everyone to sit down and shut the frak up...then lay down 2 simple laws. No killing...and no stealing. That is it. If you break any of these two laws...I'll now and make you dissappear forever.

Anyways. Here's the deal with 'first act as God'. If you're God, in the sense in which a Christian believes, you're omniscient, omnipresent, alpha & omega, etc, etc. If you're God, you're everything that is, everything that isn't, and everything that will be. You don't really have a 'first act'. You are doing everything, because you are everything. That's the funny thing being all-powerful. You can do anything, all at once, in limitless quantities. Literally. Limits do not exist.
That being said, if I were more limited, to say, the Earth, and the traditional means to which an average person associates God, I have an idea of what I would do. I'd un-exist life on the planet Earth, and start from scratch with my own ant farm.
i'll make other planets available for part of the people on the earth to survive. it seems the earth is too crowded.

There really isn't much that you could do. You can't solve a problem for the people because that would literally be stealing from the Human that solves the problem in the future. Even the change that I would cause would end up with me disappearing forever in every shape and form because that change(even one as small as adding a single molecule of Carbon to the universe) will eventually eventually change the system as a whole because people will make different choices, and eventually people who should have been born won't be meaning that you caused a murder.
Since in the end I'm going to disappear no matter what I do or how small of an action I'd perform one miricle and "pray" that it'd be enough make the world a better place. On the cover of every bible in that bibles language I'd write one phrase: "The only law of God is that you can do whatever you want as long as it doesn't harm others". To make it so it's less likely to trigger the no stealing clause and make it a bigger miricle I'd make it so that it would only be there when a human sees it, so seeing it through a mirror or camera lets you see it in the real form.
To be honest though I'm not even sure I'd do that after given all the powers of God because you will truely die with no course for the future... Even if you don't have a soul your body mass eventually ends up recycled by the earth but I wouldn't even get that.
I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.
Destroy all forms of civilization on earth, restore the earth to its natural state before civilization, nerf humanity (way to OP clearly), then sit back and watch what happens.

What about scientific research? Every now and then a medicine is released based on its overall benefit for people. It might help 1,000, 000 people but there is that one or two people that it hurts or kills. So, should the medical research facilities just give up in fear of God ruling them murderers?
And I don't care what God says, if my family is hungry and stealing is the only way to get them food then I'm going to steal with no remorse. I would hope I live in a society that is willing to help out those in need, but there are some out there that don't. So a hungry person in that societal crap hole is supposed to just sit somewhere and die?
