Its a new character,  and I had actually uninstalled the game for the last week and a half.  Only just to log in again to check out the new patch.

I still played it before alot.

And level 11 you can really do in a few days.

Commonlands and Antonica has been instanced for 4 days now. It's just not the combat zones inside the city

i'm not talking about any other zoens, i know those 2 have been instanced, and they needed it. image, but Qeynos Harbor, N. qeynos, S. qeynos, baubbleshire, castleview, willow wood, ect are not instanced, i was just on today, and there is no instancing in the city-zones of the city

all because r1tual happens to be in beta, doesn't mean that something he says is automaticly correct, like the thing about the city-zones of a city being instanced image, thats a bunch of bull, i was just on yesterday, and went to alot of the zones, and guess what.............none of them were instanced! image

and seriously, if you've only gotten to lvl 11 (what was your lvl before the earse, oh and i and anyone else i know has never had their characters get wiped from exsistance, you sure you just didn't do it to yourself?, no seriously, i'm not sure if people got earsed or not image), then you don't know anything about the game, i'm lvl 16, and i've still not found out alot, and my friend is lvl 23, and there is endless things to do for him. image

The beta version your playing is only a basic template im guessin not being in beta, therefore you and all beta testers have not had experienced the total package of what the game has to offer, im sure they made the game easy to fly through in beta to test and find bugs, etc. and alot of the content was probably held back so im guessin youll be seeing alot more come release and after, that wasnt implemented in beta.

Damn i wish i had won your beta slot i would of put it to good use as a long time fan and eqlive player and cant wait til eq2 is released, 1 week away from getting to play this bad boy.

After reading more about it now, I suppose instances aren't too bad since it helps with lag and such. I would just hate to see a zone with only 50 people and 5 instances...that would be unacceptable to me.

Since you say that the city zones are currently not instanced, how many people are usually in the city? I expect that with retail there would be a much larger amount of people in the cities and I hope not to see more than 2 instances of any of the zones.

    Troll you know nothing.

A particular zone might not be instanced 24/7 because there isnt enough people on the server to to fill up one of the instances,  so why would they open up another one?

You might see "The Down Below" as only having 1 zone.  But then you could log on 3 hours later and see that there was 5 down belows.

Same with any of the city zones,  and every single zone that is in the game.

Get a clue.  You have been told by numerous people,  and you still feel the need to argue.  I have seen two instances of Qeynos Harbor etc.

The current limit to zones are about 50 people.  It depends on the size of the instance.  Some are big enough  to hold 100's.  But those are only like 5 or 6 of the main zones.  The rest are about the size of your typical FPS type game level.  Not very big.

But even in medium size zones,  you will see 5 instances and really only about 50 or less people in each of the zones.

okay, i've been on and seen about 75 people in any given qeynos zone (the bigs one of course), and still only one version of the zone, the reason that you see only a few versions of down below, is because the other ones are filled, i've been able to access ones that aren't on that list, as if i log off in the zone, i log back into the instance i was in, and its always semi-crowded.  Eq2 does not have some, if it gets over ___ people, then we instance it.  Do you relize how many people have been in Vermin's?, which is roughly the same size as Down Below, but just a tiny bit bigger.  I have seen over 100 people in that zone, while only seeing 10-20 in down below, yet Vermin's wasn't instanced.  Remeber Antonica before they made the decision to instance?  Yeah, they MADE the decision, they didn't set it so that if it goes over 100 people, we split it in 2, no they now decided to make it into 2, there is only a certain number of instances per zone.  I have yet to see any non-combat zone instanced.  But i guess it would/ could be possible, but i seriously doubt it.  Anyway, the way you have been saying it for the last 4 pages seems like you are saying that there is always 5 instances of zones, and once i belive you said that there was a ton, not sure the number you used, and quite frankly, i don't care enough to look it up.

If they instance any of those zones, i'm actually all for it, if instancing fixs what Antonica's problem was, then i can only imagin what it can do to a smaller zone, that has much much better lag.

Instancing is based on how many people are in the zone.

The devs have said that each zone can have up to 5 instances. I've seen The Sprawl have sometimes 2, sometimes 3.

And I've seen Qeynos Harbor instanced, though not lately.

Sorry if this question has been asked before... but is the instancing kinda like CoH in that you know which instance of the zone you are in at any given time? And along the same lines... is it possible to change which instance of the zone you are in?

Exactly like CoH, except in certain areas. Some areas(very few) are designed specifically for one group.

Awesome... I think people may be getting confused. Because instancing in LDoN and instancing in CoH are two entirely different things.

If there are going to be people like you playing EQ2 I think I won't buy it.  Ritual gave his own honest feelings on the game.  Yet you go as far to basically call him a 'liar'.   Just because you don't like what he said.

It's a friggin opinion.  You don't have to like, but you should learn to respect it.  For the simple matter that believe it, or not.  People WILL have an opinion that differs from your own.

He proved that he was/is indeed in the beta.  Yet you don't apologize.  What do you do?  You try to nitpick about something else.  Ritual tells you that all zones are instanced.   You tell him he's wrong.  Yet when jimothypetr tells you the same thing.   You politely ask him for a link, instead of flaming/bashing him like you did Ritual.

You really should learn to show others the same respect.  You would ask them to show you.

I come to the EQ2 boards here just about everyday.  All I hear is post about the maturity of the wow community.  (Like that matters as we are here to discuss EQ2).   Yet when I read your post and alot of others here.  I see no difference in the maturity level.  It has it highs with people that post nice articulated post i.e Coldmeats.   Then there is the bottom of the barrel stuff like yours.  That only seeks to bash/flame anyone that has a negative comment about the game.

If post like yours are the future of forums, and the gaming industry as a whole.  I'm not sure I even want to be called a 'gamer'.

you should also relize that r1tual said EVERY zone is instanced, the guy i talked to politely didn't, also you should relize that about a month ago, r1tual was just flamming as much as he could agaisnt us, so we have no reason to belive him;  if the city zones are instanced, i've never seen it, but trust me, some zones are NOT instanced, remeber Antonica?  that wasn't instanced, neither was the commonlands, they only recently changed those to instanced, so if there is 1 not instanced (it used to be not), then by logic there must be others.  Also, r1tual said that he was only lvl 11 right now, he said earlier that before his character got delteed he was "below 30" (which could mean lvl 1), but do you think that a person not to lvl 50 has seen every single zone?  yeah, he's seen every zone, yeah he's probly 20 lvls before he can go into most endgame zones, yeah that really seems like he has knoledge that knows no bounds.

Think that maybe they instanced those zones just to make sure they could if they had to post release?

And maybe there are 100+ in a zone with 1 instance to make sure that it could hold that many?

It is/was beta, EQ2 devs have things to test as well as the players.

Anyway, my question, if they are still being asked...

    pets for summoners/necros...

    and necro/summoner spells in general

ps.   everyone smoke a joint before you come to the forums... geez

the summoner class starts getting pets that are just bettles, and then spiders.  I'm not sure about ther individual spells, but i have seen plenty of pets.  As i was saying, a bit later into the class you start summoning golems, then conjurors branch off and summon up elementals and bigger golems, which necros branch off and summon up skeleyes.

I meant more along the lines of the necro DOTs and lifetaps (and the DOT lifetap...   forgot name Bond of Death maybe?)...  as well as the Lich series....  i know they took out fear kiting, so i'm wondering what necros can do.....    also do necros have the darkness line in EQ2?

mages i was wondering more along the lines of are the pets worth being a mage?   damage spells?  is it possible to AE in EQ2 w/ mages and wizzies?  can mages still summon rings of flight and all those good trinkets?   are the pets good enough to solo with?

dont forget, mandantory joints or bong rips before coming to the forums.....   either that or you have to be as funny as the toast guy
