I enjoy full looting because it adds risk to PvP rather than mindlessly throwing yourself into battles. I changes tactics and strategies. It adds excitement for me.
Unfortunately, full looting is not binary enough to ask something like this. You can absolutely HATE full looting if it's implemented poorly or incorrectly, or you can love it as it adds a dynamic feel when implemented correctly. Adding full looting to say, a game like WoW, would be a massively stupid idea. However, in a system like UO, it worked perfectly fine. There are two core things that a game MUST have for full loot to be successful. It must have a strong and useful player crafting system, and gear must be standardized with no focus on "epic" gear or gear grinding.
i cant answer this poll without knowing entirely the circumstances involved...if armor is just for show rather than boosts and if its easily accessible to get whats needed to survive and a lot harder to get whats rare then id love a full looting system. however, if everything is hard to get and you cant even take 1 hit without dying if you have no armor then i wouldnt support a full looting system.
personally i loved the way everquest did it. loot one item and all the money on the person (rallos zek). just with that kind of system no drop armor ruined it and people who bagged their equipment or zone plugged were all too common so it was highly furstrating yet also very rewarding and satisfying. i had a pvp pally that made his riches killing people and selling their armor i loved that i could pvp and make money in the process thats waht was so great about it. uo did the full looting system well until they added item insurance. in ups universe full looting was perfectly fine and fun. if they would have encorporated that in eq it would have been horrid....i just realized that how many slots you have for armor and loot is a pivotal deciding factor in full looting as well lol up had what 7 pices of armor and limited bag space? eq had upwars of maybe 20 slots and a possible total of 80 slots in bags which was easily manageable...
I voted no for now but it really depends on how all important gear is or to an extent how easy it is to come by. Full loot in UO was a bit aggravating at times but back then you could play for a while without running into someone out to jump you and steal all your stuff just for the fun of it and when it did happen gear was easily replaced. Now I'm not so sure how long that time would be. If you had to fully replace your gear constantly it would get old regardless of how easy it is go get.
So my final answer depends on several different things; importants of gear, ease of aquiring gear, and probably most important the maturity of the community.
I would say the system just needs to be... the spirit is brought back... but items and a "bleeding burned smashed..etc" corpse land on the ground. Cloning... sounds about right.
looting needs to take the time it would take you to actually loot someone. I don't care about epic gear, if you have it you can lose it. just remember when your busting your ---, 10 hours a night for 3 months someone can get your ---- in 10 seconds... People will take precautions and it will just become a way of life... think Hollowsuit in ac.
i perfer the system SWG had/has. You lose durability when you die, more if your equipment isnt insured.

I enjoy the full looting system. Now there is some risk. I'll be pissed when I get ganked and my stuff gets taken but i wont be stupid and not have it insured. I think its fantastic and can't wait for it.
