But But But..Youll miss out on all the cool pre order stuff. Most pre orders normall come wiht something unique in game stuff. WIll be nice to see what they thrown in for us.
Tbh right now if they start offering stuff with pre-order will be one of the things that I would change my mind and keep my cash. I'm paying for the game, it should sell itself I dont want fluff or advantages I just want a decent game.

See to me... bating you with bribes (yes, it is a bribe) in order to pre-order is indicative of a scam. I would personally lose a bit of trust i nAventurine if they felt they needed anything BUT their game to sell their game, preorder wise.
A lil off topic for a sec here, but what I really miss and liked box wise was my cloth map from UO.
Though I agree with Kilmoran here, PO items are just bribes to get you to drop cash on it.
There are 3 types of people in the world. 1.) Those who make things happen 2.) Those who watch things happen 3.) And those who wonder "What the %#*& just happened?!"
Not that DFO IS a scam, but the blind faith based on hope only can lead us to something like this... Cant we wait 1-2 months AFTER the official launch to buy from them? Is that so hard? It may avoid a LOT of problems...
Well, I will make my choice based on leaks I have read by Pre-Order day. If some things I am looking for are there and I like the way they work , I will pre-order it.
It is not blind faith Domenicus, it is boredom (and a broken foot) . I have spend more than 200$ in single player games this X-mas due boredom, and some of them were a total waste of 50$. Even with some reviews praising them.
The worst it can happen is to waste another 50$, not a big problem.

I guess I am just easily bought...but I am ok with that. Yes the cloths maps were always awesome. I still have my UO one as well.

Sometihng like a MAP or figurine or something personal that is "not" in game i don't see as a bribe really, mroe of a gift. A bribe to me for a pre order is (PRe-Order now and you get X weapon or boots of Such and Such upon entering the code!!!) I would still be a bit disappointed, but a cloth map to me is more a nod to the consumer than it is a bribe to get in "quickly..while supplies last!!"

I'd totally do it for items, especially ones people couldn't loot off me.

My wife and I plan on pre-ordering as well. If you can't afford to lose $100 (or $50 if you play alone) to try a game that could be great, you have way bigger problems than just complaniing about the state of the game.
If I could bank on the people on the project that actually deserve the pre-order income, sure. However, most money will undoubtedly go to people whose talents have neither been directly involved, or a hinderance (Tasos for ex.), not the designers, writers or programmers of whom the game wouldn't exist if not for them. They are the grunts who deserve it, while the pr and marketing people take the biggest share, which to me is unfair unless the marketing was both successful and reliable for the project. In WoW's case, it obviously is. In Eve's case, it obviously is. In AoC/WAR/DFO's case... not by a longshot. So until we as consumers learn to reward talent rather than talk, we will continue getting more talk than talent.

http://www.playrequiem.com/ try it if you like.. Its free and not so bad for being a free game.
I'll preorder the game even if i'm not able to play it.
It's just 50-60 bucks. Most people spend more for dinner or a night at the bar.

I second Requim's relative quality.
count me in no matter what.
Do not go into the light
I would gladly pre-order DarkFall if it would stop all the pointless posts about the game.
A tiny mind is a tidy mind...
