The games page, remove the dates, most users here won’t care, use it to flame, or can’t read a calendar anyway. Give us personal ratings instead.
There is no way someone is going to remember the exact dates they played a game two or three years ago. A personal ratings system would be much better. I almost closed the page and didn't bother when I saw all those dates. I filled it out anyways but didn't bother putting in any dates. I think you will find that the vast majority of users will do the same thing.
I just came to the site this morning and saw the redesign, and I post very infrequently, but I have to say this is MUCH cleaner-looking than it used to be. I haven't navigated too much with it yet, but it immediately looks less cluttered and easier to find stuff. I would say most people that don't like the upgrade are just used to the old layout and aren't looking at it with fresh eyes. Definitely a great upgrade

"Hello person posting on a site specifically for MMO's in a thread on a sub forum specifically for a particular game talking about meta features and making comparisons to other titles in the genre, and their meta features.
We should be able to distinguish mmorpgs in development from the released ones as they were before. Even better i would prefer to customize the links on the left and the looks of the site in general.
BTW, please underline the current page number of the thread we are reading.
The new look is great. I do wish users could customize the home a page a bit so that forums/games they are most interested in could be short-listed someplace convenient.
Change the Game Forums list back to the way is was.
1. It was nice to have Released, and In Development sections
2. Some times I would look at the list and think, "I haven't looked at that game in a while" and head into their forum. I'm less likely to do that now as you have to be looking for the forum you want.
3. I would also find new games by scanning the forum list, alot harder now, see point 2 above for the details.
Swap the positions of the "Latest MMORPG.com News..." with the "Latest Videos..." and "Latest Features...".
Thanks.

Not crazy about the new look, especially the front page which just seems crammed. Everything just seems chunky and misaligned. Hopefully being able to customise will help. I find the profile pages just awful, too. The information in the form of a list was fine. When I look at a profile, I get the feeling the page wants to have a conversation with me instead of just giving me what I want. I also miss the ease of finding new games from the list. I do like the "Recently Visited Threads" idea, though. It saves a bit of time when you're trying to keep up on specific threads.
Am I just not seeing something or is there no way to tell what page you're on when your reading a thread? I hate to admit it, but sometimes I lose track of that when the thread becomes long. Sorry if that's been mentioned but I lost track of the page I was on and didn't want to start over and find my place!
I'll be interested in seeing what difference I can make when the rest of the features are implemented.
Remember they will be adding color options soon hopefully a classic option so people who are used to the blue can go back to that.
I love all the new features added but this is taking some getting used to not sure if the classic colors are added I will change back to them I may get used to these before then :P
Like Lydon, I'm not really "feeling" the new layout. It does load faster, which is nice. My biggest gripe, however, is the loss of the easy access game list in the upper right-hand corner. I like the drillable game's forum buckets on the left-hand side in the forums page on the new site, but I dislike having to first go to the forums page to find it. Is there any way you could put it on the front page?
You should make it easier to tell what page of a multiple page thread you are viewing. Right now it all looks the same color light blue and you have to remember what page number you clicked last.
I really don't like the color scheme. All of the light gray kind of hurts my eyes, and doesn't contrast well with a lot of the other light colors. Beyond that I don't think I would mind the new layout, but the color bugs me.
Tried: LotR, CoH, AoC, WAR, Jumpgate Classic Played: SWG, Guild Wars, WoW Playing: Eve Online, Counter-strike Loved: Star Wars Galaxies Waiting for: Earthrise, Guild Wars 2, anything sandbox.
Not really feeling it. bad colors and the layout change is not as good as the old one IMO.
Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...
In terms of functionality a lot of things are improved. Forums seem to be working smoother. The menu buttons are strategicly placed better. Top Ad Banner needs something better, I think someone mentioned some type of a border.
Thanks for getting rid of that one Comic that never changed and it was about 12 pages long!
The colors are fine they just need to blend together better. Grey is a very hard color to use as the primary color. I agree that there is something about it that needs some tweaking but it isn't that bad.
Color Scheme Suggestion: Keep Grey.
Keep the colors the way they are but it would be cool to make all fields '3D'. Just give everything a border around it to make it appear as if its 3D, this enhances the color scheme and I think this is what this new look is lacking
Oh and the page notification that multiple people have mentioned.
There's my suggestions for the look.
I like change, keep it up!
Current: Puzzle Pirates Waiting: SWTOR,Aion, CO Played: AC, WoW, SB, EVE
I preferred the old look. It was easy to tell where things were and which articles (grouped by day) I hadn't read yet and needed to catch up on. Now if there was a way to personalize the main page -- so I could ditch those useless blog and picture sections -- that would be worth paying the price.
Plus the new polls don't even show bars for the percentages.. who's bright idea was that?..make something less informative??...yeah that's a great idea.

Aye, its a great redesign and just has some bugs that need to be ironed out. Noticed sometimes the reply button gets cut off as well.
Aha. When I logged back in a minute ago, the page number now shows up in a different colour. It wasn't doing that before for me. I guess as time goes on, the kinks will get worked out.

I'm finding the new colour scheme very hard on my eyes. Too much grey.

Looking and feeling great, aside from the sharp edges on the menu as someone else suggested.

HORRIBLE! The new look is amateur and vile.

Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.
kinda bland

Whoops! I guess we didn't hassle Jon enough for that one.
Personally I preffered the old site setup ..just my opinion.
To me it just seems like everything is just blending all together. No real definition.
Change for the sake of change is not always a good thing.
