Tasos and the rest of AV contacted Razorwax about publishing DarkFall back in 2000 if memory serves. They convined the core of RW, five of the seven Claus included iirc, to move to Greece and absorbed the game and RW. AV has no experience in gaming that I know of and the whole publisher thing turned out to be BS. Why RW didnt bail at that point I dont know, maybe they were stuck in a contract. AV has kept the game going but it would have been so much better if someone reputable had gotten control of DarkFall.

I just took out the word Darkfall, replace it with any game ever made and yes you are correct, that is what forums are used for. Good for you that you noticed finally.

So he does a "backswing" with his sword like he was holding a tennis racket.

Well i don't think that Aventurine will have the luxury to be picky on what type of people are going to make up it's playerbase, to be completely honest i'll be suprised if it gets the audience it originally aimed for.....

The game has/had potential but the lack of information and dev communication is slowly killing this game before it even launches. There are so many questions about this game that nobody has any clue about. The game is supposedly releasing in a 3 weeks and not a single word from devs lately. They admit their servers do not even have the capacity for the amount of players they are expecting to buy the game so they may have to do a staged release. WTF, pull your head out and learn some customer support.
I was very excited about this game but as each day passes I am feeling like it will fail bigtime only because of the shortsightedness of the company.
That and Mortal online will blow them out of the water game play wise and graphics wise.

How damaging can system specs really be to the outcome of the game? AV really has got to step up and do something about it and try to regain the trust that they are abusing everyday with the lack of info. I honestly think(considering Taso's "despite best efforts" statement) that they are trying to send a good portion of the fanbase away so that they can better handle the influx of people on release day whenever that may be.

Here's the thing though, with all the trainwreck any thread on the internet referencing DF turns into, you're looking at a metric crapton of free publicity. Good, bad or indifferent a viral sensation such as this is publicity and there will be plenty of people who would have never heard of the game if not for this mess who will end up forking money over to AV.
