MMORPG.COM News: Warhammer Online...Exhumed?

There are rumors circulating around right now that make it sounds as though Climax might still be working on the Warhammer Online product behind closed doors.  The following news item was spotted on PC ZONE:


10:02 MMORPG Warhammer Online, previously assumed cancelled, is not actually dead and buried, Climax confirming with us today that the game is still in development at the studio.

News about the cancellation of the massively multiplayer online RPG based on Games Workshop's tabletop game hit in June this year, but Climax CEO Karl Jeffrey has now revealed that the company hopes to launch the title in around 18 months time.

Games Workshop isn't backing the game financially, reportedly, but the Nottingham-based company is still lending support to development.

    simply great news. someone had told me a couple weeks ago that the game might not be cancelled, but i didn't believe it. Guess with DE gone, WO can be the game i'm looking forward to the most.

    The news is looking good.

    I just read a column in this month's PC Gamer which states that Warhammer Online is indeed back in production :)

    This is great news!

    I thought Warhammer was the best looking game to be coming out. I hope they keep it up!  image

    Hi,

    went past a Games Workshop store today, happened to pop in for a look around and got talking to a staff member. When I mentioned how sad I was that it was cancelled, he told me it wasn't and that it's being developed still.  Was very happy :)

    I guess you guys found out first!  Could have told me!! ggrrrrimage lol
