Still, I do think it works essentially the same as some of the old school PC Games (iike Wizardry or Bard's Tale, not the Gold Box games), but this is more visual and you have more control over it.
In those, your characters were in formation, but the formation was just a list (1,2,3,4,5,6, etc). In this, they are still in formation, just shown graphically. But the row they are in still matters. In Bard's Tale (didn't have Wizardry for the C-64, so I never played it) you wanted your melee guys up front, just like this, and your magic guys in back, so they wouldn't get hit as much.

It is closer to the Suikoden games on PS2. Still, the only thing I didn't like about the Suikoden game was the combat, I prefer the turn based combat we saw in Champions of Krynn and Pool of radiance, it felt deeper and more fun.

Atlanticas turn based is too fast paced for my liking, when I am actually playing something turnbased I want to be able to take my time and have a lot of choices (well not too long time either but 3-5 time slower than A.).

The idea is good but Atlantica just wasn't my cup of tea, but I wouldn't mind playing a turn based MMO if I found one I liked, too bad the old "Neverwinter nights" (not the later one made by Bioware) is closed down, an updated version of it would have been great.

It took me 15 hrs to download the game and it failed twice so it took me a total of 3 days to finally download it successfully. I've played a lot of online games and I'm telling you Atlantica Online is just great and unique. If you have second thoughts on downloading it, I strongly suggest you try it out. It has stunning graphics and a hell load of unique game features.

You can check your pc specs if it's compatible with the requirement of Atlantica...

and also if your using windows vista your specs should be more than the minimum requirement for Atlantica Online. Vista has a high requirement and Atlantica also has high requirements if you use both programs at the same time for a minimum specs it cant accomodate both. You have to get more than that or double.
