I pity you consumer. You play such a game that said made great strides in gaming and to me has fallen off the path. Adding such things as voice over which is not needed, I will be happy with just words. I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion and what they choose to spend hard earn money on. Just take heed to what I say (type0 this game will utterly fail, what i mean to say not stand up to their expectations.

Well i dont think 15$ is that very hard to earn. Im gladely paying it to play a what looks to be a great game.  Sure there is no need for voice over BUT its a great step to more "RL" feeling.

btw why do u browse through this forum if u dont like the game and if u are sure that this game will b a failure. Odd very odd.

    congrats :)

Go and reformat your pc while you wait :)

    I would advice:

Reeinstall your operating system, with updated drivers for sound board and graphics board + make a partition only for eq2 wich will allow you for a safer and 'cleaner' enviroment to run the game, dont put nothing but directx / drivers and prolly an anti-virus // firewall, and netscape pack to access online stuff in that partition to minimize the risks of getting trojans and keyloggers.

And stock up some food and natural water :) you will prolly need some through the night ;)

again, like most bashers your are basing your Opinions by what people tell you... like all games you have OPTIONS which means you go into the Option and turn off voices if you dont like them.. Is that hard? also hard earned money (15 bucks)... If thats hard you need a better job, or grow up first.. If you are not old enough for a job.. theres always Cutting grass and winter is comming up so shovel some drives and walks..  :P

Any extras they put into EQ2 are to Enhance your experiance and make it more fun... you know "fun" the main reason Most people play games... You have only talked about Voice Overs, I would like to hear what else you dont Like about EQ2.

My Gamestop is the same here. They don't know anything about the games they are selling. I go in there and they have some older men and women in nice clothes selling games. I want to go into a game store with some geeky men and woman in there 20's who knows what a mmorpg is if you ask them.

I'm in California and ordered thru EBGames.com.  No email yet, so it looks like tomorrow for me (hopefully).image

This is really odd, I mean I live in sweden and I got the game before u U.S peeps (but i dont have any use for it though stupid servers) . But then again webbhallen (the place i ordered it from) is a much smaller company the EB games and such so they wont have nearly as many games to send out to buyers. That might be the reason.

I just wish I had preordered at a brick and mortar store... I have preordered from Gamestop (never on a game so huge), and I don't remember any problems. But I swear, if this one ships even a day late, I'm screwed. Fedex/DHL *love* throwing packages at my door, and my shady neighbors *love* to get their hands on my stuff when I am not there to receive it. I hope it comes via UPS, they require a signature. But I think Gamestop may use Fedex. Anyone know? Or does it vary?

My UPS doesnt. When I ordered my new comp from Dell I got home from work it was sitting on my front porch. ::::02:: Course I live in the boonies so its not like anybodys gonna steal it. We dont even lock our doors most of the time. ::::01::

    Thanks for the input . . .

I'll post here and let you know my opinions AFTER I play the game for a while.

All I can say is that I was cautious with what was being said about EQ2 and WoW.  I usually don't pay much attention to all the hype.

After playing WoW Open Beta/Final Stress Test for a week, I think it lives up to its expectations.  Tomorrow I'll begin to see if Everquest II does the same.

I don't need you to tell me if it will or not, but thanks anyway.

If you are concerned with Fedex or whoever leaving a package on your doorstep, leave a note on your door telling them to place it on WILLCALL. They will hold the package for like 5 days at their local office.

You could also probably call them once you have a tracking number and request this if you are sure you will not be home for a few days and do not have a neighbor you trust to pick it up for you.

    Good Luck.

It varies from area to area, driver to driver. UPS is the only one in my area who just dumps stuff on my door, and I live in an apartment complex. Came home one day and all my new computer parts were just sitting on my doorstep, 2 big boxes, come to find out that $700 worth of parts were missing from the box. They got replaces in a heartbeat tho so no biggie, I think UPS not getting a signature like they were supposed prolly actually expediated the replacement process, cause since they didn't take the precautions they were supposed to they were automatically at fault.

Appreciate teh advice. I will definitely do that Friday if I haven't received it yet. For the record though, I have left notes like that and they still leave my packages :(
and my apt office won't accept them either, maybe if i beg :>

Talked to EBgames in IL, preorders will be in at 3pm. The weird thing was , they are sending a driver to get them. Is that standard practice?

Oh on the gamestop ect comments, we have 2 in my area, both have 17+ employees, if it isn't gamecube, xbox, or ps2, they don't know their ass from a hole in the ground. So it isn't just age group, I imagine its what the store is geared for.

See ya in game soon image

I am beginning to worry about my local gamestop. When I ask about the eq2 preorders they look confused then look it up in the computer and say " On the 9th". Now I know that it should not take long for them to get it shipped to them, I am in san diego county!! I could drive to SOE and pick on up myself!! lol

What about ebgames? Anyone get any email from them yet? I ordered the collector edition and my order says it has not shipped yet. I have not yet received an email. But I coping with my EQ2 arrival anxiety by replacing it with college mid-term anxiety (I have 2 exams this week!). ::::06::
