Hey, If I could put up with UO's 2d graphics and still enjoy the game for what it was, "total freedom" then to me darkfall is UO in 3d but with more enhancements, although no player housing,,,, atm..

Ive played a month beta and even tho i had fun exploring some fun pvp its stilla big dissapointment. Its just not finished world is deserted good luck with 10k peeps fighting over a couple of mobs. Ok main focus is pvp clan vs clan but this game is mainly made for pure pk/gankers/griefers ANTI will have hard time they be punished by this alignment system while pk get a helping hand. Lore is totally throw over board ARAC clans are best choice and have it more easy to exploit macro. Siege is very simple and most clans will exploit and macro every thing in about a week or two max out many skills and have it all. Well such game i wont play im realy dissapointed in these devs there vision was great and at the end i find out in beta that about everything they promise is not in game or sucks. Craft click click click click magic shoot mm into air for few days afk. Sprint into walls for few days afk Craft afk. Fight your own for days by bindstone and skill up. This game could be awesome but devs made crap out of it cater towards cheatres and pk only:( And so are many skills easyely macroing and max out in week. There is no complexity in Darkfall its all very simple, you can harvest same mats all over the world a bush in near starter town give same as bush in romote high skilllvl areas. Good luck Darkfall, ill wait a few months and see if it have improved or this game aint for me.

The game they are releasing is not what was promised, and the statements about the development status and features of the game were not honest. They said they started beta in 2003, yeah, right. This is the vaporware end game, they will see how many people they can string along with subscriptions using what has essentially been a bait and switch.... Many of the fan boys are too afraid to be embarassed that they were so excited, they don't want to lose face, so they say "Oh, this game is awesome, I can't wait to buy it." This is how bait and switch always works, it takes advantage of the human instinct for saving face, so that when the person finally gets down to the bottom line they feel they have invested too much of their own ego already to pull out of the deal. The only reason the rabid fanbots are still prasing this game is because they are so invested in the IDEA and the CONCEPT of such a game. If AV released Pong as the finished product, they would still be writting hyms about it. And it's always the same group of guys, largley, Greyghost Downtoearth and Darkstar.

Guys like Darkstar OFTEN post in an intelligent well thought out manner, which scares me. But then again there are a lot of influential, professional and educated scilons out there who are just as invsted in their cult and will fight just as hard against any critisism of their cult, even though there is tons of proof it's not what it says it is. Just like Darkfall.
What I find hard to understand is how a game that "could be released tomorrow" in 2003, and was going to beta in 2005, has half of the features omitted. And then these guys talk about how they are working on it and it will come after release. Or those that say it needs to be delayed a couple/few/several months? Come on, it's been YEARS.. As I have said before, If they are not ready now they are't going to be. The game at this point looks like a CS match with knives only as someone said before, only with a map thats too big for a TDM match, and not much else to do.

First of all, a lot of what you wrote is simply false. I hope English is not your first language. I am in the largest alliance in beta and we have not even come close to "maxing our city out" despite considerable effort for a month.
The best harvested resources are not even in-game currently. Right now the loot tables for resources aren't completely turned on, so your statement that you can AFK macro the 'best' resources in starter towns is premature and probably BS. Furthermore, you gather resources better when harvesting them in clan cities at special gathering sites (quarries, etc.).
Anti-PK guilds do just fine in this game. And your statement about ARAC having some huge advantage is also BS. Currently the races have little variation between them besides the smaller sizes being harder to hit in combat.
You cannot max out everything in a week. This is a complete lie.
The only truth in your entire post is the last bit I quoted about the lack of complexity. Yes, there is a lack right now in 'some' areas of the game, but a lot of the features haven't been turned on and probably won't make release. The game they are releasing is not what was promised, and the statements about the development status and features of the game were not honest. They said they started beta in 2003, yeah, right. This is the vaporware end game, they will see how many people they can string along with subscriptions using what has essentially been a bait and switch.... Many of the fan boys are too afraid to be embarassed that they were so excited, they don't want to lose face, so they say "Oh, this game is awesome, I can't wait to buy it." This is how bait and switch always works, it takes advantage of the human instinct for saving face, so that when the person finally gets down to the bottom line they feel they have invested too much of their own ego already to pull out of the deal. Anyways....

The only reason the rabid fanbots are still prasing this game is because they are so invested in the IDEA and the CONCEPT of such a game. Guys like Darkstar OFTEN post in an intelligent well thought out manner, which scares me. But then again there are a lot of influential, professional and educated scilons out there who are just as invsted in their cult and will fight just as hard against any critisism of their cult, even though there is tons of proof it's not what it says it is. Just like Darkfall.
What I find hard to understand is how a game that "could be released tomorrow" in 2003, and was going to beta in 2005, has half of the features omitted. And then these guys talk about how they are working on it and it will come after release. Or those that say it needs to be delayed a couple/few/several months? Come on, it's been YEARS.. As I have said before, If they are not ready now they are't going to be. The game at this point looks like a CS match with knives only as someone said before, only with a map thats too big for a TDM match, and not much else to do.

First of all, a lot of what you wrote is simply false. I hope English is not your first language. I am in the largest alliance in beta and we have not even come close to "maxing our city out" despite considerable effort for a month.
The best harvested resources are not even in-game currently. Right now the loot tables for resources aren't completely turned on, so your statement that you can AFK macro the 'best' resources in starter towns is premature and probably BS. Furthermore, you gather resources better when harvesting them in clan cities at special gathering sites (quarries, etc.).
Anti-PK guilds do just fine in this game. And your statement about ARAC having some huge advantage is also BS. Currently the races have little variation between them besides the smaller sizes being harder to hit in combat.
You cannot max out everything in a week. This is a complete lie.
The only truth in your entire post is the last bit I quoted about the lack of complexity. Yes, there is a lack right now in 'some' areas of the game, but a lot of the features haven't been turned on and probably won't make release. You're just making baseless emotional arguments against this game without using logic to articulate your point-of-view. I hope your lack of coherence persuades people to avoid taking you seriously.
