The Incredibles

DekronDekron Member UncommonPosts: 7,359

For those of you thinking that this is just another animated movie to ignore, think again. The movie was fantastic. I found myself more involved and interested in this movie than my 5 year old son. I think the story is great, animation is perfect, and it has some very humorous parts. I would give it 4 stars.

And just a side note, the Star Wars Episode III trailer did air with it, and dam, I thought it looked great. Seeing Vader strapped to the table after his suit was initially put on was great. And they made Anikan look so dam evil. Also, for those of you (including me) who thought that Palpatine and Darth Sidious were one in the same, be prepared to be shocked. And be prepared to see Sidious finally fight with a saber. It takes some good looking, but if you look in the background, Sidious and Yoda are in the same hallway, both with sabers. I have a feeling they will fight, and Yoda will be handed his little green ass.

Anikan and Obi do fight in the lava fields, so I have a feeling that GL used that fan's script about Ani falling in lava. And another site to behold was the whole screen filled with a wookie army. I know that Episodes I and II lacked, but I have a feeling this one will make up for them.

The incredibles is on of the better "super hero" movies to date, they are normally so campy I feared the same for it. However Pixar did a excellent job on making things (as odd as they are) seem nateral.

    Ep3

Lucas took a extra year, the preview looked great. Hopefully he used to extra time to get someone else to over look the dialog.

"I don't like the sand. it's coarse and rough and irritating... not like you. you're soft and smooth."

This has got to be the worst romantic dialog ever. Yes, I know it's Star Wars, but a 10 year old girl could have come up with something better. What woman not on drugs would swoon to this?

Lucas does allot well, but dialog isn't one of them.

Wookie army looks great, I'm sorry Lucas cut them half for endor.

I can't wait to see how the well the movies tie together, the preview certainly did give me hope Lucas will be able to pull it off.

The Star Wars Episode 3 trailer was insane. I can't wait to see this movie. The special effects and scenery alone will be worth the price of admission.

Not surpirsing, the same people who would pay to play a beta of an MMORPG would be willing to pay the price of a movie just to see a trailer...

There is a quick flash showing Sidious' complete face with his mouth open and showing his yellow eyes and rotten teeth.  And then there is the other quick flash of old Palp, looking like a normal human.

Here is another thought.  You see that flash of Anikan's face (the one with the yellow and red eyes and his darker skin) after he went to the dark side.  Think of this. If Palp is the emperor, then why does he not look the bit like a sith?  If Anikan had that much of a change in a short time, then how come SidiousPalp is normal.  Although powerful he is, he still can't control his deteriorating body from the effects of the dark side. (did I just sound like yoda? image)

I of course could be 400% wrong as well.  They could have been 2 different time periods.  But still, Palpatine and Yoda fighting would be sweet.  Yoda would be pwned.

Dentures for Palp, and then Sidious denture. Oh, and yellow contacts for a nifty "evil effect".

Well. What about this. If I remember correctly. Count Dooku took Maul's place. And Dooku looked normal.

I always thought that Dooku never actually fully went to the dark side.  Yoda did say he sensed the darkside in him, but then again, yoda possesses some of the dark side as well.  Yoda can perform Dark side powers, which means he dabbled in the Dark Side before but resisted.  I think Dooku was really wanting to create a "better galaxy" and he believed Sidious could help.

Dooku was his apprentice.  What I meant was that I don't think that he ever fully turned.  I think he accepted to be Sidious's pupil in order to set his plan in place.  You can tell there was still good in him  at the end of episode 2.  A normal sith wouldn't hesitate to kill/hurt a kid, but Dooku seemed regretful of what he did to Anikan.  He had the look of "Why did this have to happen?"

Or was it Duko's job to ruff the kid up a bit, so he'd know that the Dark Side was more powerfull and Yoda wasn't teaching him the really neat abilities, thus creating a bigger lure to turn to the dark side?

Think of it this way, he only lost because he wasn't powerful enough, he wasn't powerful enough because he isn't learning the powerful skills on the "good" side, what better way to twist someone around than to get them to seek revenge at any cost.  Don't mind the whole metal body thing... focus on killing duko.

And that whole you could have saved your mother had you had you been more powerfull thing.

Anikin has already proven he doesn't like to lose, and he'll get revenge without considering the consequences of what he does.

What better way to lure him?

Bah, I never got into Star Wars. I saw the first 30 minutes of the first one(I guess it was episode 4), and was bored out of my mind.

As for The Incredibles, I have a younger bro so maybe I'll get to check it out. ::::28::

Yeah, I thought the previews for "The incredilbes" were hilarious.  Cant wait to see the full length.  Star Wars started with a bang, but the installment plan isnt doing the trick for me.  Im just frickin confused as to what happened when now.  Just go in order already.  I want to be entertained not study the cliff notes to put all the movies together. hahahah

I went and saw the movie Saw..I don't think it should have been scary for anyone. It was more disgusting like when the doc got desperate. That was the only part. Aslo I think they need a part 2 cause that ending sucked. Also I'm gonna prolly see the Incredibles too. image
