We now go live to a midget in a bikini.
"Thanks Tom. In an astonishing twist of events, the die hard, "praise be to Tasos" fanbois that have defended this game for 6 years with every fiber in their body continue to do so, are absolutely in love with the game, say it is the best game they have ever played, and are already calling it a massive success!
On the other side of the fence, the renown Trolls, known for their skeptical views, lack of faith, and ability to turn anything into something negative, hate the game! It is being called an "Empty shell", "complete trash", and has already been deemed a massive failure, calling it the next Dark and Light.
I don't think anyone saw this coming. People that have been spouting the same point of view over and over again for 5+ years are continuing to say the same exact things, surprisingly not changing their viewpoint no matter what information, experience, or new knowledge they may have. Neither is admitting they were wrong, most likely too proud to acknowledge it.
So who is correct? The obvious answer is no one. Trolls will be trolls, fanbois will be fanbois, and the only true judge can be yourself. Back to you Tom".

I dont think being realistic = being a troll. So far the only thing we've seen from Adventurine is lies and delays. The amount of peoples (fanboys) who believe this game will actually have any kind of success is mind boggling really.
The only true judge will be the number of subs in six months.
Darkfall is awesome, the trolls suck.
epic thread
Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.
That's the great thing about being a beta tester and actually seeing and trying out the game first hand.
I am able to make my own opinion based on the things I like and dislike. I am also able to see who is really talking out of thin air.
I am not a blind fanboi by any means. My time and money mean something to me. It all comes down to my judgement of whether I am willing to invest my time and money into something and get a good return on it. If I don't like something, I don't screw around with it.
I beta tested Vanguard and thought it wasn't worth my time or money. I had alot of hopes going into it and they just weren't going to pan out with the atmosphere the game offered me. I have a different opinion of Darkfall after beta testing it and have no problems paying the money for a preorder and look forward to participating in the launch.
This just in, not all is as you thought. Some Trolls have actually converted to liking the game, while some fanbois decided to take there place. It is rumored though that some of the fanbois doing so are simply PO'd they did not get there pre-orders. Just so there are no misunderstandings, I still stand firmly in the Fan area. Stay tuned for more.
Game's pretty much a turd, tbqh. They managed to implement a lot of features that are generally accepted to be "good" in a fashion that ultimately resulted in a really boring game. I think the shine will wear off for even the most hardcore fans within a month or two.
I found it enjoyable for the first week or so of beta, but it didn't take long at all for it to turn into a complete bore.
Thanks there, midget in a bikini! Now we've got that out of the way let's roll that documentary;"'Nuance', not ONLY a beautiful word derived from French" from renowned director Oswald Penminded, here we go!
My brand new bloggity blog.
This thread is so insightful! I mean wow, you have really pointed out things that no one else has ever said, way to let them all have it!
You have one thing wrong though.
The Trolls are right.
This game is based far too much client side which means it will be easy to hack. There's nothing at this stage that they can do to change that, nor is there any 'foolproof' hack prevention system. Which means that it's going to be full of people cheating. If you like cheating, which personally takes all of the fun out of a game to me, then you will have fun for a while and get bored. If you refuse to cheat, like me, then you will get griefed constantly by hackers who will say that you are a carebear for not sinking to their juvenile level.
Sorry, but it's pretty much an official failure.
I saw the reference there.
Nice one, sir.

Oh, while you are at it ... care to predict my future?
Met a nice girl lately, and all. I'd love to know how that pans out for me.
Thanks, mate.

The rules of Debate are really simple; once you have to stoop to insults instead of facts, logic, or reason to try and win your argument, you've lost.

I think you would be scared at how well I could predict the outcome of your relationship...lol
But it's not psychic powers or anything of the sort. It is merely taking the information that you have to work with and following it to a logical hypothesis. They already had speed hackers in the beta. Supposedly they've fixed that with a patch, but the fact that it could be done leads one to believe that it won't be an isolated incident. Fix one hack and another is bound to pop up, it's just the way of client based games which is why you see so much of it in FPS games.

They're past Y2K now, they're now onto the end of the Aztec(or Mayan?) calender in 2012. Duh.

in other news, some long time fanbois have also stated they will not be buying the game due to it's incomplete "feeling" developement and bugs....we will have further recaps later in the night.
Tom...
I'm a fanboi and i gotta say this game was complete trash

I don't know of a single video game that has not had hacks...
it was beta... thats what a beta is for.
I played the beta for a month. I never saw a hack.

Yup, well, it's another of those "we can only wait and see how it turns out" thingies. Just like the game itself, really. That realization makes 80% of the threads here redundant, like the OP suggests between the lines.
