Client Just Updated For Me...

in Darkfall

Hm I just got a patch for Darkfall client 1.0.33... but when I tried to install the update after it finished is was corrupted.  It rolled back and DELETED EVERYTHING IN THE DARKFALL FOLDER!  Holy hell what is going on!  (Thank god I have a backup of the installer...)

    Same here, except it even took it one step further, it corrupted my download folder as well so I couldn't even reinstall to fix the problem.

     

    Luckily I backed up the download on DvDs, trying to copy it all over and fix the install now

    It deletes the launcher fools. It is supposed to install a new launcher but it doesnt. If you are smart you could figure out how to fix it.

    yes you should all know how to do the devs jobs..duh

     

    (btw if you are going to say a rollback in windows, i don't think a rollback will change it if it is on another drive other than your windows default hd)

    Well that just sucks. But seriously i really hope they dont release the game tonight. It still needs alot of work and testing. Your example just proves it more. 

    Feel sorry for the fans though

    It deleted everything except the data folder for me.....

     

    And like I said it corrupted my main folder that I downloaded the torrent to as well.  So I was left with no launcher in the install folder and a corrupt one in the torrent folder.

    Yeah its supposed to erase the old launcher and reinstall a new one but fails after getting rid of the old one...if anybody knew how to fix it they should let us know.

    Or, perhaps instead of childish namecalling, you might consider giving some instructions on how the situation can be fixed.

    Yeah this is what mine say's....i actually registered out of worry...mine say's like 126mb download but does'nt move off 0% and sometimes say's wrong file size.

    Clearly they implented all promised features. However, the world is not yet ready for it and our PCs are rejecting it!

    I put this  in another forum but it kinda disapeared so Ill throw it  in here. Are we  100% sure that the patch deleting the game  is a virus? Given the companys track record it could just be a  way to get you all scratching your heads while they make a quick escape :D

    They have updated the configuration files but didnt uploaded the patch yet.

    Whern you ll be able to download it from here i think the patcher will work :http://www.eu1.darkfallonline.com/dl/Darkfall_1033.exe

    you poor guys got PK'd by AV and they looted your client.
