Somehow we went from buying cash, to aim bots, to duping. I already said I have a problem with extreme twinking, duping is CLEARLY a more serious issue. My statement was directed at aim bots, and whether or not it is possible for a skilled player to use one for cheap thrills.

    > normaly if u do it smart..u will never be banned

Actually, most dupers are dumbasses. I was a guide in EQLive - 99% of the dupers had a million PP or more on their lvl 50 toons. So, yes....they got banned for their stupidity. The ones that got nailed were usually using the same dupe bugs, and since all trades are logged and traceable, our GM would have a field day whenever a new dupe bug was discovered. All they had to do was search for large cash transfers and bingo....

Anyone that sells game items or game money to get RL cash should not only be banned but should be tied to a stake and given 20 lashes with a cat of nine tails.  Sorry if this offends anyone but TOUGH.

I knew several eq players that bought and sold items and plat for real cash. One of em was paying his rent with it while unemployed. I just bought and sold in game for uber gear. But, I want to explore strange new worlds. I want to ewwww and ahhhhh over brilliant landscapes and creatures. I wanna be running somewhere and a gaint SMASH me to the ground leaving me grumbling and laughing. I want virtual reality fantasy!

    Is EQ2 it?

I was a prof. Trader on eq, I started in playing eq back when there was no uberness to be spoken of....This was not a problem. IT was not a problem until years down the road when the guy that had been playing since the beginning or  the dupers had maxed out there bank accounts. Then went to alternative methods to get rid of the excess of cash. The logical thing to do was sell it.  If the people that did not have the plat or gil or what ever to afford items then you could go make a deal with whomever did. Its kind of like talking to a loan shark or a bank for conversion of money. the only major difference is the conversion is from real cash to imaginary ( and that could be argued with about the imaginary part to some hehe)

My point is that though this affect s in game economy by boosting the prices of some items you can get alternate items for for cheaper out of the deal. So its a one hand washes another. You can't make all items cost more. So the few items that you do raise the price of balance out with a few other items dropping in price. Its only the strive to have the most uber of uber items that kills some people. If someone tells you that this particular tiem is the best for your class do you not think there are  10 more items that are close to as good or maybe better.

But lets look at Daoc some of the best items in the game are player made. If that was a major factor in more games then this would not be a problem either. I mean then anyone willing to trade skill up  could make the gear they need it. It all comes down to how much time you are willing to put in. If you don't want to put in much time and twink your self then do it but people will know you will lack the skill to use the stuff you own. If you put in the time and effort to learn the skills and the ablities then no mater what your gear level you will be wanted in more groups better xp and yes of course better gear.

Uh-huh... And why would they give SoE anything? IGE is motivated by profit, they won't be giving SoE squat, and there's nothing SoE can do to stop them:
