after reading the wipe server thread...
Honestly who would want to join the server after the first day? The decision to go without many guilds not even having a chance to be in at launch beds for guilds either pulling out or waiting for new servers where all get and equal chance from start. Let the beta people have this the company favored them so ok..
I dont think i or my guild want and account now. Our guild is basically screwed because many did,nt get pre-orders or into game at the so called launch and now it appears that it is a bit too late being those who did get in have and unfair advantage.
and being there is only one server and they elected to launch when many who wanted to play cant and then opening the door and letting us in when many got a headstart would just be silly..
But i wish Darkfall good luck as a game. Hope it gets some compitent people behind it before they completely ruin the game with all these silly decisions that leave many who want to play outside..
And for those of you going solo well jump in and learn the mechanics and stuff while you can this server does not need to be wiped it will self destruct because the company chose the silly path of preferential treatment and many NA players see it as a playground until release if it happens in the North america..

PS i feel for you about the snyc problem btw..This too naturally gave some players and advantage..But dont worry have fun i doubt that this server will in anyway represent how things play out. If the company actually starts making some correct decisions which unfortunately i doubt very much atm..

Was your guild in beta (as a guild)?
Do you have a gameplan to get everything organised on day 1?
If the release was perfectly smooth the guilds who did the above would be infront now, as they are. The fact you state your guild doesnt have an account (every member?), you certainly don't seem to have a gameplean, proves you weren't as focussed as others so you would be behind even in the perfect launch situation.

i think that the server should not be wiped. maybe there is another way around is...
they should temporariliy hold a new server. they should make another server, maybe that will help?
then from that point onwars they will see wether to wipe the server or not.

Acftually we did have some people in beta and a plan for city stone to get early on..And island which we strategically took and well ...
The people in beta or many of them did not get and account and many more not in beta did not get and account because of the way it was released.
Perhaps others planned better or in this case had more time to press f5 then we did many guildies actually work and have families..
And many will stay in games like EVE and wait until we see what the companie is gonna do now or untill the next ffa mmo on the horizon comes out which is not to far away..

The op is crying because he feels his guild has been left behind so much (after 1 day) that the game isn't worth his entire guild playing. Yet he offers no evidence that his guild would know what to do if they had all been in from the start, so in all likelyhood would still be just as far 'behind' the organised beta guillds.

In that case fair enough, you have been unlucky. Still if your entire guild is going to quit over being a couple of days behind maybe you weren't committed enough.
Looking at the issue from both sides though, imagine you had got in and got your spot only to be told that the server was going to be wiped, I'd put money on your guild members would be even more pissed than they are now.

Actually Aventurines apparant lack of preparedness is the cause for this entire mess. The game is already a failure in alot of people minds. I haven't seen this type of incompetence since Dark and Light and it definately gets my vote for one of the most screwed up launches of an MMO.
Aventurine has a very small window of opportunity to get their act together or the game will fold very quickly. Unfortunately for them I don't forsee them successfully making that window of opportunity.

And as i said many are adults with work and families..
But it is quite funny these replies of silly kids who think that insulting people old enough to be there fathers or grand fathers will make the horrible way that the company handle this go away..
And in reality your blatant defense in its silly way actually will help to bury darkfall rather then helping the game in any way..

TBH the reason the signup/pre-order went so badly for the Beta testers is all down to the lone asshat who posted the link to the sign up during the head start the beta testers got.
Then the payment servers were hammered beyond belief (this would ahve been down to people having 10 windows open and refreshing everysingle one of them
Personally the game should have gone boxed sales, but thats the great thing about hindsight, its a a bitch and anyone can theorise

Thats just rubbish the reason the preorder went so badly is because they waited until the last minute and you had anywhere up 300,000 people spaming F5 on the account page most of who didn't even read the forum where it was leaked.

The only problem with the part I underlined is that they did have a publisher and said publisher dropped them. If they can't get a publisher in Europe they sure as hell won't get one here in the USA, especially with the way they are handling their launch.

It can't be that importen that some guilds did get a small headstart
what about those people that is at vacation or business trip now and will log in to the game in about 2-3 weeks dont tell me they cant play the game and all hope is out.
every other mmorpg game out there have new users everyday even if the gems have been running for years.

Well one can find all kinds of ways to clarify what actually happened with this order fiasco. But i think one has to blame the planning or non planning by the company is the reason..They are actually digging there own grave with this kind of stuff..
Perhaps some are right in saying that this will be a niche game for the devoted followers...
But one thing that AV has done is let the cat out of the bag about the possible market for this type of game and would,nt be at all surprised if we see games coming which will be better organized then this companies attempt at a release.
A couple in fact are not to far away and certainly have watched this spectacular show and will gain by not doing what AV did...
So in a way there fiasco could mean they helped the competition to there own game..
And the devoted followers will dump them and there one server half ass approach very quickly..

Yes i am and yes it is important for all to get in at start especially with this game...
And 1 week or even a day is vital..
Just as having a multi time line guild to play on the server is vital..
But if you dont think so ok...
But at this point many stones are in the hands of people lucky enough to get in and not have sync problems or what ever problem plagueing the server at this time..And they skilling up and gathering money and resources which other guilds who want to compete cant do..
But as i said sure play on this server and get to know the world and have fun but to think any serious guild is gonna stay ther that gets in now or next week is a freakin pipedream lol..

Well i can concur it was easy to exploit i watched my friend kill some swamp witches for 2 hours or so they where bugged so they where just standing there doing nothing not even attacking him while he was farming them for hours on end
Thing is Exploits are exploitable because people choose to exploit them its in our choices that define the problem but also hopefully corrects the problem later as people see others exploiting and either choose to do the same or complain about it
Everyone had the sync problem, and they are fixing it.

Om cant the company wont allow people to play it lol...
But will order and join in the fun as the one server implodes if they actually open the door which seems as if that wont happen anytime soon lol..
