    It's not unplayable.  I've been in since launch.  I'm getting around 200 ping from California.  The first day (after the servers came up) they had some sync issues, but resolved it after that.  It's been fine since then.  The game's been fun to play.  I've dones some quests, exploring.  I've gotten ganked a couple of times.  But so far, I have died from lag or d/c's.  So the game is definitely playable.  There's still a lot of tweaking with the UI and such that AV needs to deal with.  Overall, It's been a run of the mill launch.  Not smooth, but also not the worst launch I've seen.

    uo did not have sync issues

    wow had loot table sync issues and unbridled server load (too many people logging in)

    VG just had a bad client, no sync issues.

     

    This is the first game in 4 years which i have not been present for launch....and i own em all lol.....(well all the "AAA" games)

    But until everyone who wants in can get in, we have no idea if the server is a success or not.

    There was no stress testing of any real use in the beta, and there hasnt been in the release yet either.

    uhh yes, it is the best MMO on the market right now. 

    name a game that you've played that's better than darkfall.  (btw you have to have actually played darkfall in order to answer this one).

    Any game other than darkfall is better, in my opinion.  Just as it is your "opinion" that it is the best.  To each their own.  I'd rather play a polished game that doesn't have hackers and game wrecking exploits.  I guess that's just me, though.

    The game is quite good once you get in, and I haven't had this much fun in an MMO in many years. So I'd have to say its not a failed launch. The only failure I see is the company failing to have the proper infrastructure in place to satisfy the demand...

    As for where I got those numbers. In game under the guild KOS list you can search EVERY character thats on the server to add them to your list. It shows the total # of characters on the server, and atm its right around 7k.

    As you can only have 1 character per server, only 1 server, thats roughly 7k accounts, and 70% capacity. Hope I cleared it up for those that asked.

    7000 chars in games first days is almost 7000 concurrent users..the capacity on accounts is 10k concurent users with about 50k accounts on the server with player starting to not play 24/7 Darkfall like in the first days ...
