Do you actually play an MMORPG?

I started wondering about this, everyone seems to either have the story like:
"I played Such and Such for So and So years, but then I stopped. I tried this and that beta, and now I'm waiting for -blank-."
or they seem very happy with what they play. Eitherway there is a resounding amount of negativity, or people that don't seem to be playing anything, but have a very dissatisfactory opinion about everything.
So I figured I'd ask.
Do you actually play an MMORPG? I don't mean a beta, or a trial, but a game that you have started, or been with for a decent amount of time?

nice little poll. If I didnt play a game, I dont think I'd really be on this site honestly. still play EQ, but will probably be getting rid of it bc its dieing

I play CoH seriously.
Even if my common sense say not to, I buy EQ2 just to try it...will prolly not play anymore then the free month.

im playing EQ1 and EQ2 (well my uncle plays EQ2 i play it when im over) and im helping make one. not a big one but a small MMo thats will be free
Hahaha, i played Kingdom of loathing for a little while, that was a pretty funny game

I am currently subscribed to Asheron's Call 2 and Everquest (just did it for one month while waiting for Ac2 patch)
Been in WoW beta since June (unfortunately it doesn't have as good of quests as Asheron's Call 2) and I didn't want to take part in open beta.
I will have subscriptions to both Ac2 and WoW once it is released.

Not sure yet if I want to buy it...seems like the same old class/level/no endgame grind, but a little more user friendly.

Yeah, Everquest 2. Bought it at launch, and if SOE can keep the game stable and not screw up, I'll stick to it for a long time.
Before that I was playing Star Wars Galaxies for 1 year. During that same time I tried City of Heroes for a month. Before SWG I was playing Everquest 1 for about 3 months.
And I own copies of Anarchy Online, Lineage II, Horizon and Dark Age of Camelot. I had quit those games before my 30 days free trial had expired. AO, Linage II and Horizon all sucked, and DaoC I would of kept playing if EQ2 wasn't as good as I thought it would be.

I wish I can beta test these big mmos, however, my connection speed is too slow though.
I've subscribed to 3 different mmorpgs (EQ1, DAoC, and ShadowBane), but I'm not playing any morpgs at the moment, and yes I sound just like the Critic
Games I am playing atm EVE-Online & EQ2 (I figure I'll give EQ2 a try even if it is bloody swords and spells).
Watching for SEED & Centia Online.
After a two year stint on Daoc i have tried SWG, AO,COH and now just quit EVE. None of these games have recreated the fun and the community i found in Daoc.
I guess like others i have tried to find a mmorpg to fill in the void while waiting for a game that does interest me ala WoW.

Im currently Beta testing WoW and playing SoR.
i played Asherons Call 2 for a few months. The community feeling there was nice, but the repetitive quests and lack of new areas at that time made me stop.
at that time, ffxi just came out. I shipped it in from the USA (i live in holland) and started playing it about a year ago. And i still love it a lot!!
there are many mmorpgs at the moment, and a few look very good, but i'll stick to ffxi for a while.

The only reason why I'm on this site is because I'm not playing a game. Again, I'm waiting ten years or so for a good one to come out. Anyone want to start taking up bets?

Currently beta testing d.o. Online after spending a year on SWG. Been beta testing and doing trials while I decide what game to invest into.
Ok....If you have a Good computer (2.0mhz with 1gig ram+) go for EQ2....REALLY...it is the best mmorpg out there. If you dont have that quality of a machine....and you like to solo, go for AC1 or Ultima Online...both are GREAT GAMES....even tho they are 5+years old, they are established and a ton of fun. If you like to group, Everquest 1 is the one for you...the only problem is you have to spend many hours to get your toon to respectable levels in order to group with people.

When i left the gaming world , these type of games were in their begginings . And i started university , so i quit on gaming . Now i dont own a pc (is that possible nowadays??) so i cant play one .
But im here because i plan on getting one , and so i read opinions from people like you , that share my same hobby .

I played many, now I play shadowbane & well I think I will cancel my account. I have canceled 2 time already, & well I had freinds on team speak bring me back before. Now they are all doing EQ2, so I might as well join then, but no PvP I EQ2
, but well PvP is the only thing that I love about SB. Like a bad habit I should drop it.
